Just back and we did it when it mattered.....

Thank you James Keatings, what a wonderful goal you scored. Everything that was wrong about your performance last week you put right today, your pin point ball for Efe's goal was sublime, your turn, and a 20 yard curler off your weak foot was a joy to behold, a wonderful strike, a worthy winner in that magical time of 90+2 that saw that plook heeded skitter of a man Houston's puss filled napper explode filling the away dugout with puss, spit, snotters and bile. Kaboom!!

Missing Captain Dave, the man who captained Hibernian on the 21st of May 2016, heading home the winning goal in the 92nd minute, John McGinn who is developing skelfs in his erky in Glasgow and Ofir Marciano, who I hear was poor in Spain last night. In came Laidlaw, Efe went to right back, and Dylan slotted in well for SJM.

Falkirk had a team full of folk with Buzz Cuts, it was like the GI's had landed in Leith. All the rage in Falkirk I hear, the teddy boys got (bry)creamed this efty.

Lead out by Boil Puss Houston, beaming like a red light in a whore house, they are a team that are easy to dislike, word fi the prawn sandwich seats upstairs in the West Stand is Alex Totten is a wee bitter spunk stain too. To say they were robust would be polite, the dirty $#@!s would have had a few sent off if there was such a thing as a competent referree in Scottish football. The one today was hopeless, what is new. He wore his shorts like he was in ABBA, the weirdo.

We had snippets of brilliance, too many errors, a game of two halfs, where some improved, some got worse. Then an inspired but clearly required substitution, along with a welcome one. As Lenny said after the game, today may have been pivotal in the league title, we killed off Plookys challenge, probably spoiled his double pie supper and large Eldorado with his wife tonight. She had promised him that if Fawkirk won, he only had to take the one blood pressure tablet with his Viagra tonight tae. He will be phoning his glaikit pal Levien for advice in the morning. Potter will send him a note via John Daly about Hobos spoiling everything nowadays. Get it right up ye Houston.

It was fantastic to see Ivan, Rob, Zoomer, Whits, McNeil and especially David Murphy at half time. Brought memories flooding back of that day 10 years ago. Thanks guys, you are all welcome home any time.

    So to the team....

Laidlaw had a decent game right up to his brain fart when he knocked an innocuous punt out for a corner and the Plooks Bairns equalised. He did make up for it a little when he took the ball off Sibbald cut your own hair later.

Efe slipped into captain Dave's position at right back seamlessly. A few errors yes, but a smashing player with the ball at his feet. Loves a mazy too. Took his goal well too. If he signed for us, he would become a cult hero. Good guy.

Darren McGregor was imperious, magnificent, better than anything Scotland have.

Forster was poor, and didnae improve.

Lewis is hard as nails, and I thought he had a decent game today, he stopped the wee Hun Aird that people were pulling their plonkers over. Lewis dealt with him.

Dylan was back, stretching and rubbing. BUT, the guy is a fitba player, graceful, skillful and smart. Pity he didn't do enough to change a game.

Bartley was poor first half for me, but had a smashing second half. One day he will shoot. He looked decent as he pushed forward.

Shinnie looked up for it but I think he dislocated his shoulder? Keats replaced him just before half time.

Boyler got past his man first half, but he couldnae cross a road. Second half he got tore in, but he couldnae cross himself.

    Holt was honking.

Jase got no service, but gave very little.

    Subs

James Keatings is the best dead ball player at our club. His crosses, passes and shots are more accurate than other players and his goal was wonderful, really, very, very well taken peach of a goal. All season I have felt Keats is hard done by, truth is, he is a brilliant impact sub, he runs tired defences ragged and had a fair bit of skill and an accurate eye with a dead ball. Great pass for goal number one and brilliant individual second. Thanks James, well played son, that was magical. Pity 2000 Hibs fans decided to miss it, or maybe not. Nae luck.

Paul Hanlon, the classiest defender at Hibs, strolled on to the pitch to warm applause. It is simply fantastic to see Paul back. Darren and Paul are the best centre halfs we have had in years.

Brian Graham repalced Holt and took heed of a wise stage in the west lower when he was told he had done nowt since replacing Holt. He proceeded to win headers, feed Keats and be part of the wonderful winning goal.

Lenny knows Hibs are better than we are playing. Today we beat a decent Falkirk team, condeming them to at best a play off place. I think he knows we have enough to get over the line, but not much more. His post match interview suggests he was delighted we beat Plooky Houston's bawbags.

Falkirk can $#@! off though. Hoofballers, sleekit diggers, and poor haircuts.

The referee was hopeless. What is new?

Other observations were the giant crowd, nervous but out in numbers, Big G sitting on his tod in the lower famous five? WTF? Does anyone reckon Rob Jones will manage Hibernian one day?

My man of the match was our player of the season, Darren McGregor, what a great captains role you played. Special mentions for Lewis, Efe, Barts and Keats for the wonder goal.

Next up, a defeated Duff Jimmy's Morton, who give us a game, another six pointer. For me, win that, we win the league?

    See you all on Wednesday.

    Hibernian Forever!

Great report, Efe is a quality player as pointed out by a lovely French girl and her boyfriend, delighted for Keating's great cross and goal, three massive points and Hanlons back. One observation, Houston should be forced to wear nappies on that plook invested heid. Get it up ye nappy head. 😁

We should have had at least 2 penalties today. Not even controversial.

Both Dylan and Bartman ruled the midfield especially in the 2nd half.

Wasn't a classic, but I enjoyed today's game. Started well, but then lost the midfield for a bit. A few tasty challenges from Falkirk as well
Best for me were Lewis, Bartley and Boyle.
In the 2nd half Keatings played in some fantastic balls into the box, apart from the goal, we should have done more with.
More than happy with the 3 points, and let's move onto Wednesday

Tasty challenges, they were one of the most dirtiest teams we have played against, a few of them should have been booked early doors.

I thought when Hanlon came on we would have hit them with pace on the wings, delighted with the win and even more delighted it was against that Gunt **** tae.

Paul Hanlon brought a calmness to the defence, along with a natural balance with him being a left footed centre half.

Lewis was brilliant today but I thought Marv shaded him for MOTM. There was a couple of occasions where he won 'must win' balls and a couple of times where you had to ask 'how the $#@! did he win that'.

Absolutely delighted to pretty much dig a grave for & bury Falkirk's title hopes today. Get it right up you Houston, John Baird, Craig Sibbald, Miles Hippolyte, Tom Taiwo, Aaron Muirhead & Luke Leahy. Dirty cheating $#@!s.

    Football won today.

Pleased by the result , performance not so much. Good to see Dylan back I enjoy watching him. Looked sore for large parts of the game.
Laidlaw made a complete erse of that cross , his positioning was very poor , I forgave him a blunder earlier in the season today it went in my black book.
Effe is a crowd pleaser and makes me smile , just cant get rid of the feeling there's a mistake coming. With Paul back id keep him at Right back his delivery aint bad. And sir David needs time to recover.
Shinnie I thought was bright until he hurt that shoulder.
Boyle was ok but lacks composure and end product.
Overall we won and that was important so i have to be pleased by that , another hard game Wednesday 3 points from that and as M says we should then go on and win the League.
But I'm still coming away from games with more questions than answers on a number of our players. Keats goal was worth the entry fee alone.
Just get me oot this league Mr Lennon.

A huge result for Hibs in what was IMO an uninspiring affair. A draw looked a certainty until Keatings cracker..a goal fit to win any game. Graham made a difference when he came on and I still find it very surprising how much stick the guy gets from fans. He has hardly played this season but he has still rattled in a few vital goals and he contributed more when he came on today than Cummings and Holt put together. I was very disappointed with our first choice two strikers performances. Falkirk's defence dealt with them very easily. My MOTM was Boyle. I know he isn't everyone's cup of tea but I like him as a winger. He is the only Hibs player prepared to run at defences and take players on. Yes, his final ball is not the best but it doesn't help when there is next to no movement into space from any of our strikers. Bartley, Stevenson and McGregor also played well for us.

One day we will learn how important it is to concentrate defensively and avoid giving away set-pieces straight after we have scored. I just knew they were going to equalise when Laidlaw gave away that totally needless corner. Ambrose was OK IMO and no better than that. He doesn't look comfortable playing right-back and it's a bit of a joke that we have no proper cover for David Gray and instead have to push a centre-half into that position.. Falkirk are actually a decent if over-physical team and probably in all honesty merited a draw but I am so happy that we won that match today. Games are running out now and things are looking good but we have to keep it going. The job isn't done yet and until it is we cannot afford to be thinking we are home and dry. I'm sure the manager will make sure that the squad remain focussed until we are over the line.

Falkirk are actually a decent if over-physical team and probably in all honesty merited a draw today but I am so happy that we won that match today. Games are running out now and things are looking good but we have to keep it going. The job isn't done yet and until it is we cannot afford to be thinking we are home and dry yet. I'm sure the manager will make sure that the squad remain focussed until we are over the line.

Bit harsh on Effe GM, very comfortable with the ball, couple of mistakes but overall seems to stroll games.

Would love him to stay but most probably well oot oor price range.

Fawkirk are a team I used to think were unlucky with promotion rules and stuff. No more. They are ****s.
Did that get past the swear filter?

Thanks James, well played son, that was magical. Pity 2000 Hibs fans decided to miss it, or maybe not. Nae luck.
mentioned this to my mate at the time, one of the most important league games of the season, both teams partial to a late goal yet loads left after 89 minutes.

do they really need to get home a few minutes earlier..

Good report, spot on. points/result massive when we needed it.

referee/officials, every week (almost) you can find yersel asking if they can get any worse, every week 'almost' disbelieving you find they can. i'd say the lost it but that would be unfair, they never really had it in the 1st place. been a while since i watched the top league but the officials in this yin rank somewhere between no very good and $#@!in' awful and or cheats

On the way up this morning I met a couple of fellow Hibees who travel up from much further south than me and whilst chatting in general got onto the old state of Scottish Football stuff.

The days of being on a par with England are long gone for sure, but if every game had as much going on as the 2nd half today and people could accept it for what it is then everywhere would soon fill up again.Loved it.

Another vote for the Squirrel as m.o.m.too , for 91.75 minutes the only forward who caused any problems.Thought Dylan slowed us down too often and killed forward movement by just laying it off but on reflection I'm maybe not taking his conditioning into account enough. Think JC would have got the pen on another day if he hadn't already been booked for diving.

    Nearly there now.

Great to see Dylan back even if not his best game, his vision and pass is much needed. Was and still am bit concerned that was maybe not the team for him to be playing on his comeback, just waiting on a report in the EEN to say he is out again. Can't believe how much they got away with. I could see them breaking someones leg and still getting a pat on the back of that useless **** that has been giving a task of officiating a match with his anal beads and roller disco shorts mincing about the pitch.

Triumph was ours though and what a team to ram it right up on the 92nd minute. Falkirk weren't running up to fans celebrating like they had just won the league this time, thats ours now please evacute the ground and mind the neighbours.

Thank you Championship it's been emotional but time to say goodbye

A huge result for Hibs in what was IMO an uninspiring affair. A draw looked a certainty until Keatings cracker..a goal fit to win any game. Graham made a difference when he came on and I still find it very surprising how much stick the guy gets from fans. He has hardly played this season but he has still rattled in a few vital goals and he contributed more when he came on today than Cummings and Holt put together. I thought they two (holt and cummings) didnae look interested yesterday, Holt was blawin oot his cave after half time and him and Jason were both lookin for fouls all day, as opposed tae actually winning the baw and doing something with it. Keats was due us that after last weeks $#@!e. And as South west has said, Efe is a diamond but you cannae help thinking he's gonni make a blunder. I like Laidlaw but camon san, concentrate. Forster wis awful tae. Thank $#@! Pauls back.

Martin Boyle loves this club, he's your typical winger. Composure at the end of some his runs would result in more goals. His attitude is terrific, bit like wee Lewis. Important part of the squad in my opinion.

Just watched the hightlights, surely something can be done with the quality of picture on hibs tv, it's shocking we ask fans to pay for that.
I think we were definitely unlucky not to ge 3 pens yesterday and how they finished with 11 players is beyond me! Think we are getting to the point of the season where the games are just too much too quick for holt now and it's starting to show in his performances.

Thanks for the report, M. Couldnae make it today on account of an arrangement made a while back.

Nothing more to add about our goals, but Lennon doesn't seem to employ players on posts for corners. That was a factor in their equaliser. I've always favoured post men. Thoughts?

We really need that pitch sorted, NL post match interview directed the route one approach being down to the playing surface. The Scotland game the other night was dreadful looking at it on the TV. Frustrating when Holt just drops his shoulders and falls back into the player marking him for a foul, don't think he jumped to win a header all game. He also looked paggered, do we need to continue with him starting for the rest of season. Cummings plays with the ball to feet and great at it too but yesterday was like watching a bairn playing Donkey Kong, they know they need to jump to avoid the barrels but have no clue about timing. 3pts though so no bad day at the office in the end.

Yeah, a fawkirk thug volleyed it into his arm from 1 yard away and they get a free kick!!! Yet all ours turned down.
How it can be intentional from a volley from a yard away but not from floating balls into the box and basically punched away isnt, this season I've seen atrocious decisions given against whereas we simply fail to get honest decisions given for us.... evens itself out... so we're due about 7/8 penalties and 5/6 red carded oppostion players and a foul every other minute of the season to even itself out... but seriously the refs have been honking towards us all season

That was enjoyable, in the end anyway! It was a typical Hibs v Falkirk game, fiesty, hard and with no quarter given. I don't like FFC at all but they are a capable side with some decent players if not over physical at times.

We proved once again that we are a better team than them and that when it matters we can produce the goods. I was concerned and pissed off when we lost the softest equaliser you will ever see but massive credit to the team for not giving up, well done Hibs.

Ambrose has obvious qualities and we are probably lucky to have secured him in a vital period of the season and given our injuries. That said he doesn't half make me nervous when he doesn't do the simple things with the ball!

Dylan was steady and efficient but I can't help think he is playing within himself in fear of his groin going again. This is fairly obvious due to his reluctance to hit long passes when the likes of Boyle are free in space and running in behind. He is quality all the same.

Well done to the groundsman too, pitch looked a lot better than I thought it would given it's tattie field look on Wednesday night.

Massive result yesterday, avoid defeat at the least on Wednesday and we are nearly there, nice wee trip on the train across the bridge to look forward next Saturday too, reasons to be cheerful.

Seriously? Do all refs simply dislike our club? Didnt even think he was off the park😡
Didnae see it yesterday Stu but look at Cabbagemans video, Keats stops himself going off the park but Graham pushes him off it. The ref then waits till they start walking back for the restart and shows a yellow, I think to Keatings.

Think I might nip over to Gorgie Farm and count some Chickens before they've hatched
