I hope we're saving a good performance for Ayr United Saturday!
I would be quite happy if Lennon put out a 'second team' on Saturday. They could not be any worse than tonight, would give some players a rest and I would rather concentrate on the league so am not worried if Ayr beat us.

Totally agree. Give the first team the week off and play the youngsters. The United game is more important.

Financially it would benefit the club to get to the semi again..but as I have said on another thread we really must now focus entirely on the remaining league games and winning every one of them. The cup pales into insignificance this season compared to the league title.

I don't think Lennon is up to the job. I can't see him taking us up.

If we lose at Tannadice, I'd be tempted to get rid. All well when people say it would be a disruption, but look at what we are putting out just now. We hardly score goals and we rarely win these days.
Yeah, sacking Lennon is really gonna help isn't it?

Good point. Fyvie has been really consistent up until his injury but not impressed since he got back in. Same can be said for SJM.We badly need Dylan, our ONLY play maker, back in ASAP.
Dylan, Fraser and John all seem to compliment each other. When Bartley plays in the side Fyvie is asked to play a different role which doesn't appear to be his game. It's a shame that we've been unable to play a settled team for large parts of the season through injury.
    Its Liam Henderson to deliver...
And David Gray has scored! The captain!
Hibs are standing on the brink of history!

Fyvie's had that pretty minging bug a couple of weeks back didn't he? Would be a reasonable explanation to how he's become so poor.

I'd take a gamble on Saturday and give Fyvie,McGinn and Gray a few days holiday. They looked done in.

The issue with taking that gamble is I honestly don't think we've got a replacement right back? We could muddle thru in midfield, but rightback is a real issue?

3-5-2 with wing backs Boyle and Humphrey?

Think Forster would be the back up right back if not injured, although not his best position. Can't think of anyone else. We punted that Eardley (sp) in january

I wonder what the doctor does when players are being assessed before joining Hibs.

    "You injury prone son"

    "Eh, naw mate"

    "Okay, thanks"

Indeed. And I just don't rate his appetite for the game. Though evidence suggests there's maybe other appetites...

y'see, I just dont see that at all.

Given the quality of teams that are in the 'top division', with the obvious exception of Celtc, and possibly Aberdeen(but a long way behind Celtc), theres not much between a lot of other (SPL)teams and what we are playing in the Championship.
Aye, of course, get us back up there, with a couple of euro positions that we could maybe snap up that could make it worthwhile playing in the 'Big League', is there really any more to it than that? The SPFL is nothing special, in fact for a National top League its a disgrace. Certainly not a 'Be All, End All' if we didnt go up, and also poses the question, League or Cup?

Dont get me wrong, Ill be delighted if/when we win the league(who wouldnt) but for me, I would take the Cup every day of the week, and twice on sunday.

Does anyone know any updates on our injured players most important Hanlon, McGeough or Fonts. As said before SJM should be rested and bring in Young Martin, Give Graham and Keatings a go on Saturday and keep both Jase and Holt rested for United oan the Friday, and I would also bring in Crane for Saturday.
