Well done tonight Hibs. Gutted i had to cancel my trip down. First home derby i`ve missed in about 6 years but the Hibs go marching on. Well done lads.

    GGTTH.
I started out with nothing and i`ve still got most of it left.

Brilliant performance. Looking forward to just back. Whole team were immense - super J was beyond super, Boyle ran them ragged, shinnie mixed it up for once and scored a fabulous goal. But really, they were all fantastic.

Special mention to Big Marv for halving their big lump after the ref had granted them open season on our skill players.

How fickle Hibs fans are. My world famous 3-0 bet was almost there. Two saves at the penalty and a bit for hard luck for Rocky, I then resorted to my real self and demanded....get right intae these horrid $#@!ers... 4,5,6 or 7. Well done Mick.

Hertz in their back pocket 3 Pars 0.

Everyone's words of support are helping me thru this. I appreciate every comment, prayer and positive thought.

Guys and girls I can't emphasise how much your words are encouraging and helping me. This battle has barely started but I know you'll be by my side every step of the way - it's giving me great strength - Shaun 16/03/2016

Should really have been 3-0, at least.

Your prediction at the St Pats night was spot on.

could have been more, people saying the fourth was offside, I'm not convinced but it is a mute point.Apart from about 15 minutes towards the end we were all over them on all parts ofthe ground.I was impressed by shinnie, for once he didnae bottle it.Holt was immense,he's not the quickest but he's a battler, that's what you need in these games.Fontaine was far from being a bomb scare, his best game in ages.Just a pity Humphrey is crocked.Oh well GGTTH!

Wondered why this goal was chalked off ? I was in the east at the other end getting a good view of that stonewaller of a penalty and our two first half goals, we were wondering if the second was offside? No telling you my view.

I think the problem with the fourth was as follows. As the free kick was being set up Darren was standing for ages in an offside position - people were yelling at him to get on. As it turned out, he understands football better than those yelling (me included) - but sadly also the linesman. As the kicker (can't mind who took it) took there run up, the hearts defence (and our strikers) ran goalwards playing Darren onside before the ball was struck. I think the linesman flagged for offside because he had been waiting to based on Darren's prior position. Our amateur hour officiating on display again.

It's amazing how folk looking at the same thing see totally different things!

I agree he stood offside, waiting for the defence to drop back in sync with the free kick takers run up to the ball. But they didn't fall back ( cos they're $#@! and unorganised, getting lucky on this occasion), DMac was offside when the ball was kicked.

I'm in L32 in the east and couldn't have been in a better position. The 4 of us all agreed he was offside, and we love Darren like he was one of our children.

I saw it exactly the same way as you describe it (Y 20ish in the east) - other 3 with me also agreed it was off, for the reason you said.

I've tweeted the BBC to see if they can offer definitive evidence either way, just out of curiosity.

So it looks like peeps in the East -you & Southfield- seen it as offside, and peeps in the West -me & Westside- seen it as onside. Trust me bud, the kick was taken just in front of us, clear unobstructed view from West Upper ( @Westside Green was even higher up than me so probably had an even better view) right along the line of 3 gunts, all you could see as the kick was taken was McGregor's white sleeve with a gunt right in front of him. He outjumps the fud cleanly Bang! Back of the net.

Fitba...It's aw about different viewpoints as they say. Should have beat them by about 6 goals anyway!

Well, I was watching from the FF Upper, and therefore the 'line of sight' as regards offside is entirely irrelevant.

    So.

Big Daz was a mile ONSIDE and it was a splendiferous goal.

Be interesting if you get an answer. I was fairly convinced precisely because I was - in that totally pointless way fans do - shouting at him to get onside, and then felt daft as I (thought?!) I saw them fall back past him to play him on! To be fair, these things have long made me realise that I will never have a career as a,linesman!

Asked Luke Shanley, sky sports put up extended highlights but the angle on the highlights doesn't show DMac!

    Best I can see

Neither of which will decide it. So on this occasion I'll concede he was onside, the goal was valid and we won 4-1

You can see it here from the west stand....it's very close. Freezing it as close as I can to the moment the ball is kicked, it's really really close - a lot more so than I thought at the time from the east. I'm calling it on

Must have had my TV on the wrong perspective! That pretty much shows him offside!

Gave for offside. Absolute bollox! I was right in line in the West Upper. Cheated.
I can back you up on that beefy as I was seated a couple of rows behind you and it never looked close to being offside
I'm also sure that the cross for the header was square if not backwards 😕

Hee-hee! This is turning into a West Stand v East Stand myopic battle. I'm sticking to my guns though in this mystery. I've just watched the whole game again (it's on Youtube) both Cliff Pike & Keith Wright thought it was very harsh and thought maybes (like everyone around us looking along the 6 yard box) that he must have gave the gunt a wee shove. Anyways I've paused it at the moment is taken and took a pic and then I've enhanced (cropped ha!) that photo to show that the gunt in the middle is playing him on. As I've said before, where we were sitting you could only see Daz's white sleeve behind the row of gunts.

Hard to tell? Looks like he is at least in line with the gunt in the middle. Watched game again and was happy enough with the ref. They did get away with many persistent fouling, same players. Players love a battle, well ours do now. Teehee.

It was definitely given for offside , the ref signalled offside
