    Err ra Morra

Heading down the morn? Its to be cauld but brilliantly sunny. Its an experience for sure, not often your get the chance to watch fitba as it was for us over 50's in our yoof. Uncovered terrace, toilets not from last century, but the one before that, there is bound to be a token Hun or two in their end to ridicule there always is, their food van is called something uncomfortable like Fat Boaby or Saggy Aggies or suchlike, dive bombing gulls and wear a bunnet, gull guano is minging. Lovely sea err in Err though.

Team wise, it is a game for Marvin methinks, blooter a couple of them early, but try and stay on afterwards. Boyler bound to start, Jase benched again?

Picking my laddie up from his student halls in the weej en route, looking forward to it.

Tickets for the Away ST are in the main stand and it will be first time I've been down there and not been on Gull Bank. The last time we were down there (summer 2015), we had around 100 fans and a dug. Mair polis than Hibees. That said, it was a pre-season friendly, midweek. Hoping there will be a decent turn out tomorrow.

Aye...and I was on the Just Back and called them S@agulls in the report. Got pelters from all the twitchy pedant twitchers on here. If anyone chucks their chips for them tomorrow then chip their chuckies.

And there were more polis and stewards than Hibs fans because they had gone totally OTT with their security. Body searches going into the ground at a friendly. They were telt politely to get lost when they stopped me, having not long had open surgery and still feeling the old war wound.
Hibs are standing on the brink of history...

I remember sitting in that stand watching George Best & Arthur Duncan tearing doon the wing.Ayr fans wearing miners helmets rather intimidating for a young lad.

Used to be a fair bit of bother with the Ayr fans in the early 70's, quite a few scraps when we visited that dump.
You didn't want to get too close to their bovver boys.
Not that they were particularly scary, but they reeked of seagull* $#@!.

*Dub, it may have been black headed gulls, herring gulls, or some other variety. All the seagull $#@! smelled the same to us.

Painful memories of Somerset Park, Ayr...

In my early teens when I first started going on the supporters bus to away games (around 1977/78 season), I was at a match down there. Arthur Duncan scored just before half-time and when we were all changing ends during the break an Ayr fan smacked me in the coupon ! Maybe I deserved it I cannae mind !...anyway I do remember Hibs won 1-0 so it was worth it.

We always had trouble doon there...a big hun area so always expect the worst when you are wearing the green and white.

    Good luck tomorrow Hibs.

Today's fixtures throw up some good chances of other contenders dropping points - hopefully Hibs can take advantage by doing the business today.

That used to happen quite a lot as I recall. Not to you of course but all over the country people would get thumped during the half time change over. I reckon you were just unlucky.
