I decided not too. In the flesh it's not as bad.....
Was that her Maserati in the car park?

I would have said hello Smurf but I didn't recognise you without the blue makeup and 1875 didn't say at the time who you were.

We’ve had an increase in attendances over the last year looking forward to the return of the Old Firm and I’m absolutely sure that attendances and viewer numbers this year will be huge with so much to play for.”

The Porsche is just for when it's raining and there may be puddles.
Rodders preferred mode of transport is a Jaguar.

Pleased to hear that Max Todd got a run out...really good skilful player whom I'm sure will feature in the first team this season.

Ive said all along i reckon they have budgeted fot 2 seasons in the Championship.

    Was the strip mentioned?
I don't agree with that...Hibs will be going all out to gain promotion at the first time of asking and I also think we have a very good chance of achieving this. As Leeann was saying today players will be brought in who can get us up in one season. They would be negligent however not to have a financial contingency plan in place if we do not get promotion...nobody can predict the future.

Neither keeper was tested at all really. Perntreu (sp?) Took a few crosses confidently and looked the paert. Brennan looked about 15 but did all that was required of him calmly and confidently.

How did we line up in terms of formation? Was it the same for both halves?
We wanna be free, we wanna be free to do what we wanna do, and we wanna get loaded, and we wanna have a good time... That's what we're gonna do

Both halves, rolled out from the keeper to full back, 4 4 2 with Handling sitting slightly in behind Cummings for part of first half half and you Mulhall pushing down the left, Booth and Craig doing same second, with Harris doing same down the right effectively. Ball on the ground football for most of the 90 minutes, it warmed the $#@!les of my Hibbyness! The team we were playing were nothing more than a reasonable junior team though.

Mulhall wasn't playing mark. He is still recovering from surgery, he is back running and hopefully fit for September

Pretty sure we will see the ball on the deck a lot more this year after yesterday. Even taking in to account the opposition there was one or two wee things that were quite noticeable. The centre halves split every time the keeper had the ball and the full backs pushed right up the park with a midfielder dropping in to try and take the ball. That is something Everton do so Stubbs maybe picked up a few wee things from working under Martinez.

Now this might sound a bit daft given he wasn't really tested but I quite liked the look of the boy Gardner at centre half. Looked quite comfortable on the ball and good timing in the air against a big lump of a striker

That's a better description than you could've given Hibs for most of last season.

Sounds like he is getting them playing football again, a welcome return

Good to read, thanks for that 1875. Hopefully a sign of things to come in terms of style of play.

Anytime I seen Tom Gardiner playing for the EOS team last season I was impressed by him. He has got some way to go and needs to test himself against better quality forwards, but he has all the attributes to hopefully become a top central defender in the years to come.

There's a clue in the team lists

    First half

Perntreou, Buxton, Martyniuk, Stevenson, Nelson (c), Gardiner, Martin, Tudur Jones, Cummings, Handling, Todd
Hibs are standing on the brink of history...

The body builder with the daft haircut?
Was that a barcode tattooed on the back of his head or just barber scars?

1875 said he reminded him of Yogi.

Or he may have thought it actually WAS Yogi as he seems unable to identify players.

    ;-)
“It’s massive having the Old Firm derby back on the schedule. It’s the one game which perhaps defines the Ladbrokes Premiership around the world. We’ve had an increase in attendances over the last year looking forward to the return of the Old Firm and I’m absolutely sure that attendances and viewer numbers this year will be huge with so much to play for.”

Is that guy on the right left footed? He reminded me a wee bit of the young Scottish laddie that was at Aston Villa....

Is it right that he's Bobby Kinloch's grandson?

His mum's dad is Bobby Kinloch, yes.

His big brother, Sam, was also on Hibs' books in the 94 age group.

The family are good Hibs fans and his grandad is heavily involved in the FPA distributing match tickets to fellow former players etc

This already cheers me up. Looking forward to coming down now if i`m going to be watching football rather than the depressing, turgid $#@!e we`ve been forced to endure for the last few years.

I started out with nothing and i`ve still got most of it left.

Feel so annoyed reading this thread. Not about yesterday. It just sounds like we've got a manager that will try and play, will give youth a chance. It's just you get a bit excited then BOOM you remember youre in the first division. Got zero time to let players nurture, obscene amount of pressure to win nearly every game, fans with famously limited patience close to breaking point, sharing a stadium with vile Huns a year earlier than we should be and hated city rivals who we've struggled to beat the past decade in exactly the same position but with a years experience of intense pressure already behind them.

    Butcher is still a $#@!.
