    HELP,locking wheel nut key broken

HELP, i was changing my tyre and had the key to remove the locking nut , on the very last nut i sheered off the fitting from the key and now cannot remove any of my wheels , i have the box that the nuts came with, with the serial number on it but would have to go to vauxhall with my log book and stuff to get a new one , is there any way i can get a new one as vauxhall are very pricey , i will have to get the nut sheered off as the fitting is stuck in the nut but would need a new key for the remaining wheels

Don't know the answer to the question, but as a thought might it be cheaper to just get a new set of locking nuts instead? Is it only one locking nut oer wheel?

I'm sure Vauxhall could provide you with a new one.

You might be cheaper getting them all drilled out and replaced with a generic set of locking wheel nuts

A garage will be able to drill off the locking wheel nut

I take absolutely no responsibility for this suggestion, as suggested to me a couple of years ago by an auld mechanic.

You bang on a spanner bit (from a set if you know what I mean) a size smaller and remove it that way.

The locking nut will be ****** but if you're lucky the spanner bit will be usable again.

Something like that. I never needed to do it in the end as I found my locking nut.

You can get replacement ones provided you have the original wheel nuts.
Otherwise you'll need new wheel nuts and the tool to remove the old ones isn't too hard to get a hold of. I think I have half the kit lying around somewhere.

Most garages should have one I'd think.
