millerHibees new signing Liam Miller has been named Clydesdale Bank Premier League Player of the Month for October.

The midfielder, formerly with Celtic and Manchester United, helped Yogi’s team stay unbeaten last month and scored the first goal since his move north from Sunderland in the 2-0 victory over Aberdeen at Easter Road on October 31.

Miller, 28, who also previously had spells at Leeds United and Queens Park Rangers, featured for the Republic of Ireland against Montenegro last month and is in the Ireland squad for the World Cup play-offs against France in Dublin on Saturday and Paris on November 18.

Speaking to the official SPL Website he said: “I have found it really welcoming here and I felt straight away I’d made the right decision. I can definitely see myself being here for the long term. I feel I have my match fitness and am enjoying myself day in and day out which I hadn’t done for a year.

“We are getting the right results on the pitch and we are training really hard and it’s paying off. As long as I am happy here, I don’t see why I shouldn’t stay. We have a really good bunch of lads – a lot of characters in the team – and they have all made me welcome.”

Congratulations to Liam from the HibeesBounce.
