WOSHSC meeting

Travel –
Aberdeen game 4/10/2008 – Bill will book train tickets for the friends fare and westies will meet in The Archibald Simpson - a Wetherspoons pub set at the east end of Union Street, where it meets King Street. It's a big building that used to
be a bank, so is hard to miss. Usual Wetherspoons - cheap food & drink and
apparently this one has Sky TV too.
Parkhead game – It was decided that we would meet up in the Crown Creighton on Duke Street at the Cumbernauld road end, prior to the game.
Hamilton game – Meet up was a success with a few westies managing to meet up in the Tap room and a few more not actually getting in due the restriction on colours. Noted for the next time.

Old Business
A proposal had been put forward regarding sponsoring a player’s kit or boots. After looking at the prices it was decided not to go ahead with this.

A proposal was put forward regarding buying branch logo badges. After reviewing the designs and pricing £75 for 50 or £125 for 100, it was decided to order 50. Design is attached to the minutes

The Joe Baker Memorial fund – A price was brought back for a sculpture which ranged from £6,000 to £12,000. This was deemed to be far too expensive. Members are asked to bring back ideas which might be suitable for an art work which could be presented to the club. The Hibees Bounce also have funds to put towards this and as do HHT. We should be aiming to do something for between £600- £1,000


AOCB –
There was discussion regarding any ideas for a logo for the branch. If any members have ideas regarding a logo for the branch we would be happy to see them.

AOCB continued

There was a proposal put forward about getting a large flag for the branch, Stewart was going to look into it.

We had a discussion regarding a Christmas night out, Date and venue to be decided. If anyone has any ideas, please put them forward.
