a special tribute to bill laing.
i recieved an e-mail last week from gordon, bill's son telling me that bill had passed away earlier in november. for those who remember him, i'm sure he left a lasting impression with his 'singing' and his fervent passion for the hibs. and for those that don't, my first intoduction to bill was when he came along to the very first meeting of the westies and was in fact a co founder member of the west of scotland branch. bill certainly was the joker in the pack and often had us in stitches with his banter. the trip to aberdeen particularly springs to mind. the stop off at dunblane for a 'top up' was certainly the highlight of the journey.
he often was ribbed for being a fifer, but he certainly gave as good as he got. my thoughts go to cathy and gordon.

That's sad news. Wasn't aware he'd been ill. Remember him keeping everyone entertained on a very long minibus journey back from a CIS Cup defeat at Tannadice.
