Default Aberdeen supporters bus

We have tried and failed to get a bus going from Aberdeen to Edinburgh, but were trying again.

There is a thread on the net of a possible supporters bus. I know its probably going to amount to nothing but ive been on the phone getting quotes for coaches to go to edinburgh every home game. Any aberdeen based hibs fans willing to travel to all or most of the home games, please give me a PM we will organise a meeting soon.

Admin a sticky if you please

IIRC the previous time we tried to run a bus we had enquiries from people wanting picked up at locations miles from our intended route. This would mean us leaving Peterhead at 7am on matchdays!
Its an early enough KO for us as it is.

Last season I costed this all out for a 12 and 17 seat self-drive minibus, starting point Peterhead.
To break even without charging excessive fares we would have had to fill a 17 seater and charge £ 10 a head. A full 12 seater worked out at an average cost of £ 13 a head (based on games at ER). The only thing that came out of it was a meeting in Aberdeen but no one showed any real interest. People from Perth and Dundee indicated they might be interested occasionally but not enough solid interest was shown to justify me hiring a minibus. Looking at the thread above nothing much has changed, however the regulars seem to manage with car-sharing etc.

That'll confuse them John! Market Street is at the bottom of Union Street - Frankenstein's is almost at the fork between Union Street and Holburn Street!

Note to self: Remind Fraser not to let John do his marketing!

I believe it's against the law so the answer to that would have to be "no"

I guess the law only matters to those who are in charge of/driving the bus.
As a matter of interest, where do you guys normally get the train from?

You seem to have me down as some sort of temperance freak mate - wrong. I was merely interested as you say seven of you travel from Banff. Maybe it would make more sense to arrange a bus/minibus from there, picking up at Aberdeen en route, if the bus idea was to get off the ground?

Nah wrong spy mate - never did fancy consorting with sex offenders and murderers - I chose Hibs instead. I work offshore and have done for 22 years.
