Managed something really silly! Give you all a laugh!

I have managed the great feat of losing my glasses here offshore!



Took them off put safety specs on, went out, came back. Glasses not with me. How and where they have gone is completely beyond me, the only place I can think of is that they have gone down the shakers!

I am trying not to completely screw the trip up by trying to laugh at it! Still hacked off as I hadn't had them very long and they were quite expensive and now I have to find at least another hundred quid of which I really didn't want to have to spend on a pair of glasses.

Many, many long and involved swearwords!!!!

(And by the way it's quiet at the mo so I am supposedly working, just nothing much to do! Brill!)

I do this on a regular basis mate. I go fishing a lot and have been treated to teh site of many a pair of expensive glasses drifting down into the depths. Very pretty actually...

I now wear cheap reading glasses and wear a lanyard.

That's good! Well, my company pay us more for working in Norway. That's why being a UK resident I won't ever find myself there!

Just tell your employers you need prescription safety glasses - they are more or less dutybound to pay at least part of the cost. Oh, and buy one of these cords to hang them round your neck - my present pair have lasted over 10 years! Who do you work for? Geocircus? Datalog?

I do have the safety glasses! Just was swapping over in the unit! I am a member of the Geocircus! At the moment.....................
