If it's possible to feel any more scunnered with the club than currently, it would be at hearing news of anything other than the door for Nelson and McGivern. This should have been actioned today.
Maybe it's because they are utter pony it's not even news worthy? Ill boo that **** McGivern if he's playing for us next year. Boo from behind my telly as hibs won't be getting my money.

Of the players leaving what have Paul Grant, Bradley Donaldson, David Gold and Dean Horribine done wrong? i don't think any of them have had a try-out in the first team?
And are we keeping James Collins and TudUr Jones?
I`m guessing it`s because their contracts were finished but it does seem unfair especially as McGivern and Nelson dont seem to have been bulleted. Were Donaldson and Gold in particular not getting rave reviews for their U20 performances?Originally Posted by jock3;1401041[B
I started out with nothing and i`ve still got most of it left.
Most of these players were told 4 or 5 ago that they weren't good enough. None of them have done anything since then to suggest they should stay. A almost total clear out was always on the cards. I hope that Butcher had already made plans to replace them. Although relegation might have meant revising some of those plans the clear out is still the right thing to do.
Aside from the young lads, the only others I would even contemplate keeping would be Lewis Stevenson & Scott Robertson. I'd also keep the Heff too if Butcher was going to do the honourable thing and f@ck off but we all know that ain't happening.
And, yeh, I'm very concerned about who Butcher/Malpas will be able to "attract" to the club now. Their managerial stock has crashed & burned, they could be sacked 5 games into next season & lets not forget that our club has been a poisoned chalice for ALL players within the past 4 or 5 years.
Who in their right mind would sign for 2 derided clowns managing a ghost ship club by the skin of their teeth in the most competitive Championship ever? Well, I guess we're going to find out...
The McPake interview at EM...was that Heff in the car with him? And if so, why no Qs addressed to him?
So who do we exactly have left?
Forster hanlon mcgivern?! nelson?! Booth
Harris stanton robbo cummings collins OTJ
Am I missing anyone?
I liked Mcgivern.
Mind when he took those long throws into the box and at least tried to play a bit?
Space to let
The ball so to speak is with TB and MM now, depending on how much they give them to spend on new decent players ( decent being the operative word ) I personally think its the fright and the kick in the bollox the club needed to finally get us out of the doldrums we have been in since that glorious day in 2007 at Hampdump ,
Hopefully also that Hibs way of not playing football is also gone forever and that whoever is left and whoever is brought in, play for the club and the fans , before they play for their family and their ego's .
As long as TB and MM get the promised backing from the Tache then we might finally after a long agonising 7 years see a worthwhile Hibs team who can score goals on a regular basis ( yes i can remember these days of joy as well) .
So as long as all of above works we could have a good season.

What cull? Only out of contract players have gone. Get thum tae $#@!.
There are a few currently under contract who deserve to get booted out – and no doubt they have been told to ‘find a club’ but that can be meaningless. Katie and Taiwo were told that back in January but it made no real difference – they were still there months later.
On the other hand, I’d hate to see these charlatans walk away with a year’s pay, or put on ‘gardening leave’ and take with them much needed cash that should be paying for their replacements.
Maybe Amanda has come up with a solution that means these impostors can simply be emptied at no cost, but sadly I think not.
On balance I think I’d take the hit and empty them now.
Is no one else worried that we won't actually have a team for the start of the season, never mind preseason? Another wasted year, this time in the championship. It's horrific!
Happy to hear Cairney, Taiwo, Maybury, Haynes, Watling, Boateng all vacated the building.
Less so Thomson & Williams.
McGivern, Nelson, Collins can all have a taxi at my expense.
Suspect OTJ will be kept to lumber about like a lamp-post if Butcher is doing the cull.
Know a few people who know Dean Horribine, apparently Livingston very keen on him.
We are hibernian fc , we hate jam tarts and we hate dundee we will fight wherever we will be, because we are the mental HFC

nobody coming in then?
the only club in the capital with goalkeepers is spartans.
i'll be amazed is any of butchers signings are "exciting", they'll be piss poor hoofball merchants.
i will support hibs in spite of TB and i will be relieved when he moves on and is no longer associated with hibs.
hibs have issues in all departments but allowing this man any kind of control is a liability.

McGivern's pass was too blame for the first goal on Sunday but it was as much an interception as a miscue but this is Hibs and we have to have a whipping boy.
Does anybody have any idea if we have a plan or is Terry just taking his revenge on the playing staff by culling the lot and hoping that we will find replacements in time which, let's face it, we've not managed in the past three or four seasons hence the reason we ended up with Rowan Vine… that *** Doherty… Tom Soares… Pa Kujabi… ?
There were three other defenders on the pitch but they were miles out of position. Classic horrid Hibs defensive error.
Yup. He paid the price for attempting a bit of attack minded passing football and after that resorted to hoofing it.

Let's not forget during all this, that Butcher didn't care enough to go watch the Kilmarnock game before our last game and instead went swanning off to an awards dinner. Yet people like mcpake and Thomson who genuinely care are being discarded so easily and weren't given a chance. None of the team had a settled chance with the 3 months of 4 or 5 changes a game. Poor Taiwo came in and done a job only to find himself bumped completely for the important run in for no apparent reason. Infact in our last league win he was a major factor in us actually winning that game v county. Cairney had the same fate.
The more I think about it, the more angry I get with Butcher. I cannot see how this man can stay. He simply has to go.
Still not run deep enough for me, and am not just talking about the playing staff!
It is better to be hated for what you are, than to be loved for what you are not
Is there a definitive list yet of who has gone, who has been told to look for another boy band and who's staying?
