Coach for the October Derby

I've been thinking we should arrange a coach for Derby day, would anyone be interested in going up on one?

Names down if you're interested!

The boys from Sweden are over so it should be a pretty good day!

Re: Coach for the October Derby

It'd be rude not to! Will have to pull some strings if it remains the Saturday, but should be sorted either way as long as we're there and back on the day.

An appropriate time to get back to ER I reckon after being posted missing for a year or two.

Sorry Mark. I'm already committed to PNE v Reading on same day, but if either match was switched I'd be more than interested for me and my lad (providing Kev doesn't swear

Re: Coach for the October Derby

I have been getting some quotes for a 16 seater bus and the cheapest so far is £640 which works out at £40 a head which is loads. What bus company was used for when we went the semi and how much was that?

Re: Coach for the October Derby

If the match is moved to a sunday then it could mean no trains. Still getting quotes anyway. If i can get it down to 26 to 29 then thats fine as a train is 27.50 anyway

Re: Coach for the October Derby

Just got another quote, much better too, £460 for a 16 seater, that's £28.75 per seat which is only a quid or so more than the train. The best thing is, if the match is moved to Sunday, the price is still the same.

Sound good?

As widely predicted, the derby [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register] to the Sunday, 2pm kick off.

I'm still good for it, presume we're going ahead with the trip?

Re: Coach for the October Derby

Arseholes. Anyway that quote I got is the same for the Sunday too. I'm going to ring two more companies for quotes, then when I've got the cheapest ones I'll start to get a list of people who are deffo up for it, then we can get money sorted and book the fecker.

Time wise, I was thinking of us leaving the Tickled Trout between 7:30 and 8:00AM allowing us plenty of time and hopefully being in the Royal Nip for 12:00! With the bus coming back down at 18:00 as I've stated when getting quotes, gives us an hour or two in the pub after the match!

Re: Coach for the October Derby

We were talking about this on the way back yesterday, and there are about 7 from blackpool, and a couple from bolton definetly going. Let me talk to one of the lads from blackpool, he can get a bus cheaper than that i am sure.

Re: Coach for the October Derby

Nice one, any chance you could get the lads from Bolton and Blackpool to register at Lancashire Hibs website too?

Give me a shout if you can get a cheaper bus, my mobile number is 07500057985 - I'm looking to get this booked during the week, starting with a 16 seater, but I think we can fill a bigger bus, maybe 23 seater - and I reckon the cost will go down per head.

I'll be wanting three seats for a start mate so a 16 seater is easily achievable I reckon.
