Re: Irish Hibs

maybe a dedication to the Irish fans who support the "original" irish team in Scotland, educate the Irish football "fans" about Hibs and how we didnt jump on the Celtic bandwagon...
meh... i dunno... theres clearly a lot more interesting things, my brain is dead this time of the night...

Re: Irish Hibs

I'm pretty sure Conor had an article about Hibs/NI Hibs done in a nordie paper before? or maybe I'm imagining things?

after the fans forum we had in Dublin back in 2002 and the pre-season tour in 2005 that generated some interest in the press here but it's not enough to convert any new fans I'm afraid. The majority of Irish fitba fans aren't interested unless there is some glory in it for them i.e Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool or Arsenal.
The one's who own a Celtic jersey here either again are glory hunters or own it as some sort of pathetic political statement.

The only way we'll get fans here interested in Hibs is if we start winning things and lets face it thats not going to happen on a regular basis anytime soon

Re: Irish Hibs

I was interviewed for the Sunday Mirror a few years back for Hibs Irish tour. The guy printed some of my "off the record" comments aboout smelltic, leading to a few abusive emails from their "fans"

Re: Irish Hibs

How great Hibs are, how great Hibs fans are, how non-sectarian we are, how open-minded we are, how much better than the Green Rangers we are, how they stole everything from us and if it wasn't for us they wouldn't even exist... the list is endless.

Have to get as many mentions of NI Hibs in there as possible...of course, a bit of inter-league gloating slipped in there too for good measure, IE how small a support in NI we've got compared to Celtc but how our functions are always SO much better than any hooped disgrace SC in NI.... Ah, I could go on...

Give me a shout Marco and I can throw ye a couple of 'Here, we're fucking great' articles I've written for ideas if ye like

Re: Irish Hibs

I did an interview for the Daily Mirror (the same one Mark did I think) before the Hibs tour in Ireland.

Re: Irish Hibs

Hi all,

Very interested in all of your comments. I'm a scots hibee of irish descent and am very interested in your views - similar to mine celebrate our irishness oppose celtic styled political sectarianism.

Wuld be very interested if anyone could post links to articles in irish papers about the cabbage. Wuld also be interested to know numbers in both NI and ROI Supporters Clubs.
