As much as I despise the thatcher-lovin disgrace to leith super hun, I quite respect him as a pundit. Good value entertainmnet as a manager - have to say I have some respect for him after he planted a Galatasaray flag in the centre circle at Fenerbahce after he won the derby there, cue mass paggers/deaths. wouldlove to see collins do that at tynie.

David O'Leary. Would be interesting to see what he could do without a massive budget.

The way things are just now, JC will prob get linked with the job!!

I just noticed, JC - John Collins - Jesus Christ... coincidence???

I'd have one from either O'Leary, Aldridge, Souness or Jewell. Martin Jol's name has been mentioned tonight

Roddy Collins was saying last night Ireland need a foreign manager. He justified this by saying Scotland,Wales,NI and England wont qualify for euro 2008 all having homegrown managers. What a dildo this guy is.What does this guy think is acceptable for Scotland in a group with two WC finalists?NI aren't exactly disgracing themselves either.England have proven they are just as shit whoever is in charge.Wales are a rugby nation with a piss poor football team.

They're employing a 'team' of experts to decide the successor. If they pick O'Leary then I'd ask for my money back.

Expect an un-known.

Then you're mental tbf. Jewell is the only one out of that list I'd want. Of the current pick, an Irishman is the last thing we need now. Absolute dearth of quality.

Hi Guys,

I reckon who ever gets it will have a job on their hands. Look at the shite material they will have to work with. Stephen (Superman....grandson of Supergran, who came back from the dead not once, but twice!), then there's that midfield dynamo, Kevin Kilbane! What about that prolific striker, Mcgeady.

Nope I reckon whoever gets that job is in for a tough time. Give it to Eamon Dunphy, he seems to know all about Irish football. Rowdy Roddie Collins can be his deputy! I'm shouting for Scotland in the summer!:YAYYY:

Although he is one of the bookies favourites O Leary has not got a cat in hells chance of getting it and ridsdales book wont have done him any favours. If Souness turns down the wigan and leicester jobs then i think he will be favourite and dont rule out houllier both would know aldridge and may ask him to be assistant.

None of the names mentioned thus far fit into the bracket of "world class" which I believe will be one of the requirements of the person(s) hand picked to find the next manager. How about Mourinho he's available

Read this today in the paper the other interesting thing on it is that Liam Brady and John Giles could make up two thirds of the board responsible for choosing the new man,it would be a cute move by Delaney as then if things dont work out Brady and Giles cant really come out and slate the new manager as they were responsible for picking him.
