Default FAO NI Hibbys

Lads and lasses,

While meeting Eddie Turnbull and Lawrie Reilly were big moments for me; I have to say that I have reached a high point in my young life with the news that a George Best Foundation function I'm going to later in the year is going to be hosted by the one and only Jackie Fullerton.

Can't wait.

It's an NI thing.

He's a commentator up here - bit of a legend. Kind of a cross between Des Lynman and the guy off Cornotation Street who says 'so it is' a lot.

Jackie IS a legend alright. Think of a Nordie George Hamilton The goals on Saturday at 4.50 just wouldn't be the same without Jackie. Saw him in Grafton street a few months back, he's only about 4ft high. Think his daughter has followed in his (commentary) footsteps?

He has a few kids and they're all journalists, not sure about the commentating though.

Besides, they'll need to get their hair well groomed, get a few sharp Tony Bennett suits and practice their silky 'voice-overman' patter if they're going to reack Jackie's kind of legend status.

Joking aside, wur very own Jackie is a very humble and decent sort. I'm trying to get our NI SC to put his outline on our club banner - how cool would that be

Oh are you indeed Conor? Any chance of running that past the secretary and the banner-designer-man-person/Ian first?
