Portadown v St Patricks Ath. 5/8/06

http://www.stpatsfc.com/news.php?id=984

Saints are playing in Portadown this Saturday @ 3pm

After talking to Conor I get feeling it ain't the safest of places.

Any other of the N.I. lads know anymore about them? What their fans are like? How far from train station to their ground?

THANKS

I'm sure that the majority of Their supporters are ok..

But you'd have to be very careful travelling,
I'd phone Portadown or St. Pats and find out travel info, etc.

http://www.portadownfc.co.uk/home.htm

I'll find out more tomorrow as a few of the lads in work would have been in shramrock park.
If Friz is on he would/should be able to give u the best advice as he may have been when following cliftonvile..

PORTADOWN V ST PATRICKS ATHLETIC

Portadown are hoping to confirm another friendly against St Pats Athletic from Dublin for Sat 5th August at 3:00pm. This will be combined with the club Open Day which is now expected to run from 11:00am to 2:00pm. It'll be an opportunity for the fans, young and old, to meet the players, visit the club shop to get their hands on this seasons replica kit and training gear, then follow it up by watching the live action between the two teams.

Re: Portadown v St Patricks Ath. 5/8/06

Used to be the dodgiest of dodgy places to go. Until two seasons ago, I don't think we ever came home from the place with a full set of windows on the bus. Different story now though. The football club have rooted out a load of the scumbags that attended the game, and with it being a friendly, there will be no bother at all. I was even in their social club with a Cliftonville scarf at HT last season.

The main stand isn't a bad place to see the match either, although the away stand is miles away from the pitch, take binoculors with you if you end up there.
