Dublin Nightclubs

Sorry to be a pest again.

Has anyone any ideas on the best place to go on a Saturday night? I would usually suss out places while I'm there but I'm only staying one night. Been about 4 years since I was last in Dublin. Remember going to Q bar, Zanzibar, Boomerang and the Viper Rooms (only cause it was a Sunday night and the only place we could find that was open).

I did really like Zanzibar, is it still any good?

Thanks again

Zanzibar still good, as is Knightsbridge. But if you're feeling rich there's always Temple Bar

There's also Pravda, just around corner from Zanzibar, and great pubs along Grafton Street

Zanzibar was still good the last time I was there. Depends how flush you are feeling and what kind of place you like. Cafe en Seine is also really nice but a bit upmarket. IMO, The Temple bar (pub) is one of the best places to go - extortionate but you wont fail to meet loads of folk and have a brilliant laugh. The Quay - just along from the Temple Bar is also a really good pub.

Wish i had a trip back planned.

Cafe en Seine is the most expensive pub I've ever been to in Dublin, last time I think it was 6.50 euro a pint And its always well busy, with posh folk though

I agree but had a good night there. Its a lovely place. I prefer slumming it in the Temple Bar though.

Ahhhh the memories.

Re: Dublin Nightclubs

Many thanks for the suggestions RoIH and NC.

As I'm only there for one night and got flights and accom for £65, it doesn't really matter how expensive the booze is.

Ooooh I'm so excited, I can't wait

If I see you in the Palmerstown on Sunday RoIH there will be a nice cold pint waiting for you.

NC - It'll have to be a virtual one for you

Thanks again folks.

No probs Lisa, will be in PH from about 12.30

The main road to the Airport is very near the pub too in case your flight is that evening

You must have felt out of place in there

Re: Dublin Nightclubs

Get yerself to the SinE on the north side of the quays near Capel Street, best late pub in Dublin, or Cobblestones in Smithfield for a quieter pint

Gotta agree with Merk (ROI Hibee) that Pravda is really good if you're into PROPER music (not R&B, pop etc...). When we were there in November they were playing things like the Kaisers, Arctics etc...It's a good place! Got a dancefloor and a big balcony so you can stand and people-watch (Er, that sounds creepy, but you know what I mean!)

We went to the Viper Rooms last time around and it was very crowded and expensive and they were playing R&B - so I basically didnae like it!

Hope you have a fab time anyway!!

Think you've just sold me on Pravda. Sounds ideal, nothing better than bouncing about like an idiot to "PROPER" music as you put it. And I know what you mean about people-watching, perfect for nosey buggers like me.

Cheers Lynne (and everyone else)
