westies on tour.

hello northern ireland! the west of scotland branch held our meeting last night and one of the items 'debated' was the possibility of visiting yourselves in the new year. the general feeling was VERY positive to say the least. it seems this is a strong possibility sometime in march/april?. some of us may stay the weekend and others just the one night.
we look forward to seeing you all sometime 'soon'.

p.s i once stayed in the park hotel in belfast when i worked for rentokil. there was a hibby who worked there at the time. is he a member of your branch?

Jimmy, you know I'm living in Dundee, but this sounds soo good I'm intending to coincide a visit to home at the same time IF it comes off. You KNOW what I mean.

Conor will piss his pants at the sound of this, NI HIBS will welcome everyone from the great nation that is Hibernian Fans.

PS - As for the Hibby in the Park Hotel: I don't think we know him but that's why we're hoping this friendly with Glenavon happens later in the season so we can flood the stands with leaflets, get a new banner up, put an advert in the programme etc.

"Just to let you know that the month of March suits better at this end for the Westies Tour in Belfast.

That aside, we can decide a weekend nearer the time, bearing in mind that....

2nd - Inverness A
5th - Celtic H
12th - Aberdeen A
19th - Dunfermline A

The weekend of Saturday 19th suits me well (I am the only member of NI Hibs who works weekends) and the weekends of Saturday 12th and Saturday 26th are difficult but probably do-able."

Can the rest of the NI Hibs lads let me know if any weekends in March 2005 aren't do-able (as much as you know at this stage).

I'm defo up for doin' this guys, as I said before, as long as its not the w/e 16th April as we'll be having the Bounce POTY.

Is'nt there a Scotland game on roundabout that time? Could be done that weekend, save missing out on a Hibs game.

March 26th Scotland away to Italy,It's the Easter weekend though so travel will be busy and probably dearer(School holidays)

Ferries are much busier during holidays with wee Alisdair and his chums from the Uni rowing club coming home for the weekend.

Otherwise, you may well be able to travel from Buchanan Street (?the main one) bus centre to Belfast city centre for about £30 each or less using the excellent Ulsterbus service.

Flights will probably be a bit dearer and, although quicker, not as handy as the Ulsterbus when you consider the collection and drop-off point.

they'll get a crisis loan and maybe the chance of relocating to a nicer house and if their lucky a few days in the Hilton free of charge...

and he'll collect a fiver off the boys for their breakfast's LIDL do a super fry

And it happens more than some realise.

The problem with intimidating neighbours is you usally get a worse shower and you are back to square one.
