New Years Day Fixture 2005

I see from our fixture list we play the jam tarts on 1st Jan 2005, looks like i will be spending new years eve in edinburgh next year. Would NIH consider this fixture as a date for our presentation.

This game would be significant as hibs and Mr Turnbull beat the jam tarts 7-0 in the same fixture not so many years ago.

Hibeekid it's a magic fixture you'll have a great time.

I'm going to have a look at possible dates for the presentation for me soon but I think there's a few problems with 1st Jan:

1, Getting travel might be difficult
2, Getting accomodation is likely to be nigh on impossible and will be expensive if possible at all.
3, I have work and family commitments
4, The likes of Raymond and Nevin (maybe also U What?) will be ruled out for the same reason

However, I'll have a look into this.

I'm just coming up for 16 and I still remember the New Year Derbies of 7 years ago and before! The atmosphere walking up to the stadium is magic and when you get inside you will just hear the biggest noise from both sets of fans! If Hibs win then there will be parties all over Leith in the pubs (I know you can't have a drink yet but the singing is magic ) and you'll remember it for many years to come! 8)

I'm sure most hibbies who have been to a New Years Derby at Easter Road will back me up here :-D

P.S. I can still remember Kevin Harper scoring against the JT's on New Years Day "There's Only One Kevin Harper"

I'm defo going and will be looking for hostel accomadation around the begining of september, travelling a couple of days before the game.

I've just checked with the anti-personnel department at work and I am definately working New Year's Day.

Look on the bright side, new years night you can sit down probably wearing your new slippers bought by the missus for xmas and listen to a tape recording of the match.
Do you require a match program, if so no problem mate.
