Ok so an inaugural monthlyish gargle is needed..time to get the finger out..

I still reckon the West Belfast (and honorary West Belfastie Ned) should set up a regular monthly night for The Oak - say, 7pm every last Thursday or something.

That means myself and U What can plan ahead to come along as well when we have something like the Turnbull presentation to discuss.

Do we want to make this a night when there is football on or when it probaly isn't?
looking for a non football night rules out,, erm, tuesday wednesday, thursday, saturday,sunday. leaving Friday and monday....Friday is too noisy to talk seriously... seems to be monday to me. First monday of the month might still be busy, last one I'll be skint.
Any other suggestions?

So far it looks like the Turnbull presentation will be held at the end of the year and will involve us travelling over, taking Eddie and Tom Wright out for a meal after a game and then making a presentation of a trophy in the Hibs Club.

If they will allow it we would like to make the presentation on the pitch at ER, NIH will look into this as well as update Mr Turnbull and ask his views.

Any comments?

I'm sure Eddie will have an influence for the presentation to be made on the pitch, but I wouldn't hold out for it. I'm just wondering, as well, what's the reason for the presentation being made at the end of the year? I thought it would be nice if it was the opening game of the season or something. I'm sure there is a tremendous amount of work to be done, and honours go out to NIH for his sterling efforts.

You're right - I'm not too sure about involving the clib either as I don't know that it will lead anywhere and also as it adds an extra FUBAR factor that we don't need to have by relying on someone at ER to keep their promise.

As for the end of the year - I'm fecking broke as I've a wedding to save for next year and also as it gives me loads of time to get organised.

Will let you know the date as soon as we get to that stage so you can put it in your diary.

Any time is easy enough for me. Youse know what I'm like, if there's a few beers involved, I'll be up for it :-D There's still the possibility (well, great likelihood after that feckin exam I bollixed up today) that I'll be studying in Embra next year, so if its next season, it won't be a problem either
