FAO - the real Ned Kelly...

Ned,

Watched a movie last night about the other Ned Kelly (the Aussie ruffian one). Have to say that the movie was unbelievably p1sh.

Suffice to say, instead of trying to get Yanks to try an Irish accent it might just be cheaper to recruit your cast in Dublin.

I've got a book about the other Ned Kelly as well that I haven't started yet, buy will try to remember to lend it ye.

I had been meaning to watch that film, was it the recent release back in september 2003, because the film took years to make and the actor who played Ned was an aussie, was his accent that bad.
I did see an eight hour film split in to four parts, the actor this time was irish and the film was excellant, unlike the one with mick jagger, yes the rolling stone, that was p?sh. I also read a book titled 'Ned kelly An Austrialian Son' and if i'm not mistaken i requested it from ballymena library, it contains the constitution he wrote just before he was hung in melbourne gaol.

Have to say watched the Ned kelly film and to be honest seen worse mind you have seen a whole lot better

If you're interested enough in the story I'd say the film is worth watching even though it's p1sh. The main character's accent goes from Dublin to Dunmurry to Leitrim in one sentence half the time.

I'll bring you the Peter Casey book about him.
