Hibernian v Gretna

THIS GAME HAS BEEN CALLED OFF!

Hibs face Gretna at Easter Road on Saturday hoping to end a nine game run without a win. Whereas Gretna will be hoping to end their hoodoo against the Edinburgh side having lost all competitive matches to date between the pair.

Mixu Paatelainen has the luxury of having a full squad to pick from with Clayton Donaldson and Thierry Gathuessi returning from suspension.

Gretna have bolstered their side with loan signing John Paul Kissnock expected to be included in the squad, subject to international clearance.
But Davie Irons is nursing the blow that Fabian Yantorno has been ruled out for the season with knee ligament damage suffered against Falkirk.

The Hibees are aiming to preserve their record of never having lost at home to the visitors. All the previous meetings between the two have been won by Hibs.

The most recent encounter between these two sides at Easter Road Stadium was earlier this season, when we eased past Gretna in a high-scoring 4-2 thriller, in a Scottish Premier match.

Hibernian have only collected 1 win and 3 draws from the last six home games played. The goals for column just outweighs the goals against over this period, 8 to 7.

Gretna's away form is none too clever either, seeing them win just 1 and draw 2 of the last six. While the Black and Whites have hit 7 goals, 15 have hit the back of the wrong net.

The Hibees see themselves just below half way in the Clydesdale Bank Scottish Premier, showing a record of 28 points from their 22 games played so far, Gretna find themselves stuck right at the bottom of the division. Their 22 games have yielded only 13 points.

Sequence statistics
Hibernian

Not drawn a match in their last 5.

Gretna

Not won in previous 3 away matches.
