Following last weeks sacking of George Burley, The Hibees Bounce can exclusively reveal that Rudolf Skacel will now be following him out of the Tynecastle exit.
Skacel, along with Paul Hartley, showed their support for Burley by revealing t-shirts proclaiming "For The Gaffer" during saturday's match with Dunfermline. A move which infuriated Hearts major shareholder Vladimir Romanov and culminated in a torrent of abuse for Skacel from the Lithuanian ex-submariner. Skacel was one of the players identified by Burley in his summer spending spree, although he was a freebie, he has repaid Burley's confidence in the player by scoring 9 goals in 12 games. ![]() Although Hearts tried their best to be circumspect on both the circumstances and the reasons for Burley's unexpected exit, Romanov is widely believed to have simply sacked him out of hand. Burley was always clear that he wanted complete control of team selection, and when the Lithuanian obtained complete control of the club the clash over Romanov's interference with team selection was certain, and Burley's days were numbered. The number was two, in fact... two days was all it took the Tynecastle despot to empty the manager! ![]() So it seems Vladimir Romanov is weilding the axe at Tynecastle to those opposed to his way of running the Club. Who's gonna be next? Watch this space! ![]() |
