Fletch To Fire Hibs Fourth

Hibs travel to Kilmarnock today with doubts over a major cog in Tony Mowbrays Green Machine. Top goalscorer, Garry O'connor, will be given until the last minute to decide if he's fit enough to take his usual place in the Hibs front line at Rugby Park and try to add to his 8-goal tally.

If Garry fails to make it, Mowbray will turn to teenage strike sensation, Steven Fletcher, who bagged his second goal of the season against Livingston on wednesday. Fletch, who has scored in the last two home games for Hibs, struck what was to be the eventual winner and is another young player in Mogga's squad brimming with confidence.

The 17 year old from Hamilton has burst onto the first team scene this season with a series of excellent performances, and has been a tad unlucky not to add to his brace so far.
Indeed, he thought he had added to his tally again on wednesday only to see his finish, to an excellent attacking move from Hibs, be ruled out by the assistants referee's raised flag. Much debate has ensued among Hibs' fans to this 'goal', was he offside? was he onside? Right call - wrong call, from the East Stand linesman? Whatever the correct answer, the young striker wont dwell on it, instead he will focus his attention on the Kilmarnock defence and his quest to help Hibs keep their 4th-placed position in the SPL.

First Strike For Fletch

The Hibs Boss has been keeping one eye on the treatment room for most of the week, with a queue forming at the Physio's door after sunday's Tynecastle 'Kickabout'. Most of his first team squad have been unable to do anything that resembles a full training session, due in the main to the sunday-wednesday-saturday run of games, as well as the casualties the density of fixtures bring.
His players, though, have responded well to the physical demands, as well as the phsycological cat-calling from someone who's name escapes me.
On wednesday, Alen Orman returned to the first team action, having had to be content with numerous games on the bench. Alen put in a tremendous shift and will be hoping this sees him resume his place in the midfield today, alongside another two excellent performers in Guillaume Beuzilin and Stephen Glass. 'Boozy' claimed his first ever goal for the Hibees on wednesday and it was fitting that Glass was the provider, after unfair remarks were made off them from an anonymous caller to the Edinburgh Evening News sports desk.

A Celebration Booz

Hibs fans will be hoping that the fine attacking football, that has been Tony Mowbray's teams trademark this season, will be evident in Ayrshire today and we'll happily travel back to Edinburgh with 3 SPL points and a sour-puss for another ex-Jambo manager.

BOUNCESport Prediction: A hard fought 2-1 Hibees win. Deeks back on the goal trail, with Fletch.
