Hibs Have The Comforts of Home

After a month on the road, Hibs are back on home turf today to face a Dundee United side which will contain a familiar face to all Hibs fans. Tony Mowbray is also boosted by the news that Derek Riordan has been declared fit to take his place up front alongside Garry O'Connor for the Hibees.

Lining up against him will be Grant Brebner, who has also passed a fitness test in time to face his former team-mates, only a couple of months after his unexpected exit from Easter Road. Speculation mounted after Brebs was transfered to the Arabs, just days before the transfer window closed, fuelling all kinds of rumours about his departure.

The Hibs players who were on International duty over the past fortnight reported back for training yesterday and, whilst Ian Murray, Gary Caldwell, Steven Whittaker and Gary O'Connor all reported back with a clean bill of health, only Colin Murdoch is unable to play.

....................Irish players Celebrate Colin's First International Goal

Murdoch sustained a groin injury during his country's game against Austria, a match in which the big Irishman claimed his first International goal, helping Northern Ireland secure a valuable World Cup point in the 3-3 draw in Belfast.

Mowbray will keep to the defensive formation that has helped to keep Hibs unbeaten in the last 4 SPL games since Ian Murray returned from injury, the team now clocking up a run of 7 league and CIS cup games without defeat.
Ian will partner Gary Caldwell in the centre of the Hibees defence with Steven Whittaker and David Murphy either side.

Guillame Beuzelin, the guy just oozes confidence, will take his usual berth in the centre of the park. Another performance from him on a 'Par' with his game against Dunfermline and Mowbray will have scouts flocking to Easter Road like fly's around the dog doo.

...........................................The Stylish Beuzelin
Boozy's class was there for all to see in his last outing at East End Park and, combined with his workrate, will be a very important player for Hibs. If players like Dean Shiels, Steven Fletcher, Deeks and Garry O can finish off the excellent craft of Beuzelin then Hibs fans will be cheering a lot more goals this season.

Todays game will give both teams an opportunity to 'size each other up' before next months CIS Cup Quarter-final, although this will be furthest from the minds of Tony's Tearaways who, for all their excellent form on the road, have still to record a home win in this campaign. Drawn games at Easter Road have hampered the great progress of Mowbray and his players in the SPL, whilst they seemed to have found their vocation 'on the road'.

I see Hibs being too strong for 'Wee Burnies' Arabs and we could even see another 4-goal romp, as with their Dundee neighbours, but hopefully this time without the sting in the tail.

Tony Mowbray will be looking to finish off what has been an unforgettable week for him and his good lady, Amber, with the birth of their first son. Congratulations to Tony and Amber from the Hibees Bounce.

BOUNCESport Prediction: Hibs to sweep the Arabs away with a very competent performance, 4-0
