SkyeHibs has a spectacular aura about
Situations vacant

The need for a leader on the park, and particularly someone to marshall the defence has been clear for sometime. The Dundee comeback on Saturday made the case for urgent action if our fine attacking play is to be rewarded by winning games.
The clock is working against Mowbray as he seeks to find the right balance of youth and experience, and experience with leadership qualities, before the transfer window slams shut until January. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 5 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

As Tony said after the game:

“I’ve said all along that we’ve got to find some experienced players to come and help them out. You could see how fragile they are at the moment, when we are on top we can play some brilliant stuff, and when we are under pressure we crumble very quickly. The only people who can cope with that are people who have been there, seen it, done it and know what to do – and at the moment we have not got them.”

I am sure these are sentiments we can all agree with. At times, the football played by Hibernian was breathtaking, and it did look when Riordan’s second goal was chalked off that we could have gone on and really given Dundee a real doing. From ecstasy to despair then followed in a few short minutes as Hibs turned from saints to sinners.

We have some fine young players who are relishing the opportunities that are being afforded them to display their skill and artistry. It is clearly the case, that given the type of football we are playing that we will leak goals and we all accept that.

What we cannot continue to witness is the self- destruction that took place on Saturday. That reminded me of the time Jim Duffy was in the Easter Road hot seat and a 3-1 score against rangers with Hibs in control, turned into a 4-3 defeat. Nobody needs reminding what happened that season!

Quite simply the self-evident weaknesses need addressing, and need addressing now.

WE CANNOT WAIT.

The risks in doing nothing are simply too high.

The fans believe in Mowbray, they believe in our young players, but there needs to be the right blend of youth and experience to help guide the younger players.

There is hope that a new dawn is breaking for our club, that Mowbray is indeed the man to bring back the glory days to our famous club.

To do that, the board must make sufficient funds available this week to allow Tony to address the weaknesses.

Glory, glory.

“I’ve said all along that we’ve got to find some experienced players to come and help them out.( Grant Brebner anyone.) The only people who can cope with that are people who have been there, seen it, done it and know what to do – and at the moment we have not got them.” (No because we gave him to Dundee Utd.)

I'd have thought that Grant Brebner had all of the necessary criteria required incredibly he is allowed to sign for another SPL team free gratis.

A bit of a bollocks that IMHO
