Here is a list of entrants - a couple of Edinburgh sides in the competition. Any reports/feedback would be interesting. It will be a useful indicator in terms of knowing how well our local teams might fare in the Scottish Cup?

Secondly, the update To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 5 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. U15 Tynecastle have progressed to the semi-finals of the competition tomorrow. They lost their 100% record when they were beaten 4-2 by Leyton (English side up here for the competition) but they threw it away - they were 2-0 up and comfortable before they committed defensive suicide three times in ten minutes. They certainly miss their keeper, who signed for Hibs at the end of last season - and their two main goalscorers who have also moved on. However, they are still on course to make the final tomorrow night at Glasgow Green - where they will probably face the English side again if today is anything to go by. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 5 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. Reigning Scottish Cup holders, Clyde Soccer, went out at the QF stage. U16 Edinburgh South have won their games today so far and if they win their last match will also progress possibly to the QF - so fingers crossed for another Edinburgh team getting to that stage To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 5 or greater. Still have their 100% record To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 5 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. Cruised into the semi finals tomorrow by first beating Harmony Row and then Aston Villa 4-0 in the QF without their (Edina's) starting 11 actually starting. Now face Bonnybridge in the semifinal tomorrow morning - the only other side left in the competition with a 100% record. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 5 or greater. Re: The Glasgow City Cup
U15 Tynecastle lost in the final to Leyton from England. Scoreline ended 1-0 to the English outfit, scored late in the second half to snatch a win. There wasn't much love lost at the end

You currently have 0 posts. U13 Edina Hibs also made the final of the competition, winning their semi-final against Bonnybridge 3-1 - a fantastic contest. Unfortunately for them, the 8 hour wait they had in Glasgow until the final took its toll and the laddies looked shattered by the time the evening came and didn't get going at all in the final. Sad thing is, the team they were playing was poorer than most of the teams they had disposed of earlier To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 5 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. Clyde Soccer Cumbernauld scored from a set piece in the first half and then got a very fortunate deflection off a defenders back to score a second in the second period. Great tournament for Edina and a decent outing for Tynecastle - but the organisers of the competition really dont do visiting teams from outside the Weege any favours when they have to report for a semi final at 9am in the morning, then have to hang about till 6pm for the final. The local teams all can take their laddies home for the rest of the day - Edina and Tynie ended up traipsing shopping malls, bowling alleys and cinemas for the best part of 6 hours To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 5 or greater.
