Will anyone be looking for a goalkeeper coach?

I'm seriously looking into taking a coaching course after I turn 16 in March, and would like to get involved after the course ASAP.

In 6th or maybe 5th too at your school there might be a course called sports leadership. Get everything you need there and you don't need to pay for the first aid training too!

Why don't you see if you could coach your schools S1 or S2 in the mean time, some of the guys at my school coach the younger folks.

Well I've done my little brother's school team for two years now, but I only have a year left with them, and trying out with the school is difficult with me already in a school side

School coaching in high school is usually the domain of the Seniors in my experience. Not come across any school who lets anyone younger than S5 help run teams in secondary sector - though Broonieboy may be able to indicate for sure.

Owen's age is fine, Stew would still have to wait a year?

Im starting to do my SFA soon and then will move onto the Uefa 5 once.

Worth the money if you can get a club.

Was planning on doing my goalkeeper license. Already being a keeper, it seemed more sensible. Is their a UEFA goalkeeper license?

Yes there is young man but it costs a four figure sum to do and in Scotland is only deemed suitable for those working with or for senior clubs and the sfa. Levels 1 and 2 are fine for all other coaching.

Did you email that address I sent you as there is real scope for you to have your training paid for?

You will find in Scotland that it is something of a closed shop at the highest levels - if you haven't played senior football, the opportunities are limited. To do the Goalkeeping Licence you need to be working with a senior club iirc because you have to undertake so many hours coaching at that level. By all means, aim high

I am currently the goalkeeper with Salvesen U16s (and so will hopefully be benefitting from working with you in due course on a Tuesday) but I also am interested in pursuing youth coaching as soon as I am eligible to undertake the Level 1 Certificate. I am aware of the work your organisation undertake in the area and wondered if there is any scope for me to develop this interest?
