Cant argue with most of the choices there a favourite of mines thats not been mentioned is Jackie macnamara.The greatest footballer on the planet though has to be George Best. Stanton Sauzee, Latapy, John Collins Cropley Edwards etc............. Makes you realise how spoiled we really were and yes I do beleive we will still be talking about Scott Brown in years to come but when you look at players mentioned he will be below a few of them regards the greatest ever.

Been many many great players who I have seen in the green, Jim Scot, Peter Cormack, Eric Stevenson, Joe Baker {2nd stint} Jimmy O'Rourke, Erich Schadler, but without doubt Pat Stanton was head and shoulders above any of them.

Pat Stanton for (almost) being a one-club man for the duration of his career.
Franck Sauzee for making it all look so easy in the time he was here. Stevenson, Cormack, Cropley, Blackley, Brownlie, Schaedler, Edwards, Baker, Best, Marinello and McLeod all come close but Sir Pat's my first choice always. |
