Lennart is on the way to a first team debut
Hibs-Hearts March '09

Hello,
Last march I attended with 2 mates Hibs-Kilmarnock and we had a great time. Next March we would like to come over from Holland for the Hearts game. 2 questions about that: Is there a big chance that the match will be postponed to Sunday instead of Saturday and when do they deside this? (This because of which flight we should book) Is it very hard to get tickets for this match? We strongly prefer tickets at the stand with the fanatic fans. I assume we will be travelling with 5 or 6 lads. Thanks for your help and looking forward to meet U again.

Re: Hibs-Hearts March '09

It does have a chance of being moved, not sure when they would announce the change etc though

And you should be able to get a hold of tickets no bother if you maybe contact the club to buy them online or phone them up? or get a bouncer to get the tickets for you.

This stand will possibly be knocked down at the start of 2009, which will mean that most tickets will be taken up by season ticket holders. If you want guaranteed tickets, details of which can be found here: [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register] under the heading tickets.

The Dandy Highwayman will become famous soon enough
Re: Hibs-Hearts March '09

I think the game will be on the Sunday - the only other possible game is st mirren v rangers. I have booked flights for that weekend and am there for both saturday and sunday as it is normally changed for TV.

The first derby of the season in october is now sunday at 2pm.

As mentioned its possible there will be less tickets than normal if they demolish the east stand to build a new one but it is not yet confirmed if that will happen or when. If they did they would probably have to put Hibs fans into the normal away end and give hearts only half of that stand but there would not be many tickets available so you would need someone to get them for you early.

ADO Den Haag fan? What would be a good Den Haag game to go - one where I could get a ticket obviously.

If the demolition goes ahead, the east stand season ticket holders are to be relocated into (half of) that (the Dunbar-old fart that I am) end

Here are the SPL fixtures for that day and the possibilty of moving the game to the Sunday.

Sat 14/03/2009 Aberdeen v Hamilton :Not a chance.
Sat 14/03/2009 Celtic v Falkirk :No they don't show Celtc home games.
Sat 14/03/2009 Hibernian v Hearts :Yes very strong probability. 80% chance
Sat 14/03/2009 Inverness v Kilmarnock : Not a chance.
Sat 14/03/2009 Motherwell v Dundee Utd : Possible but very unlikely 5% chance
Sat 14/03/2009 St Mirren v Rangers :Yes possible 15% chance

I would plan for the Hibs v Hearts match to be moved to the Sunday as the only other game Setanta TV are likely to show is St Mirren v 'Scotland's Shame' but in the last few years almost all Hearts v Hibs games have been moved in order that TV subscribers can get some respite from constant games involving the Glasgow clubs.

The final TV decision though wouldn't be made until sometime early in 2009.

Your bigger problem might be getting tickets for Hibs v Hearts as Hibs might knock down the east terracing and if they do then only 1,000/2,000 tickets will go on public sale. Hibs will have to make this decision soon and may well announce it at the annual general meeting in Oct/November.

If Hibs don't knock down the old stand then Hibs v Hearts tickets aren't that difficult to get as long as you move quickly and ask for the 'East terracing' as it is an unique and special atmosphere which will only be fully realised once it has gone.

If Hibs do decide on a stadium reconstruction then you have to be very quick and I'd recommend the internet website as your best bet but you might need to pre-register in advance so you can get instant access once the sale date is announced. Telephone sales will also be possible but it's difficult to get through.

Ask around here nearer the time as plenty of people will help.

Re: Hibs-Hearts March '09

Thanks a lot for your advice.
I already booked our return flight at Monday as I want to be part of this. I will try to obtain tickets via the official way, but when they cannot guarantee the tickets I'll get back to this forum for help.

Yes, I'm a Den Haag fan. At Den haag we have a personalised club card and otherwise it's normally not possible to obtain tickets. But I have contacts at the club, so if you want to come just let me know way ahead and I will arrange tickets. Because ajax is our big enemy and there have been a lot of violence between the fans of both clubs it will be difficult to get tickets for that match though.
The Feyenoord game is always exciting.

Terracing = c. 3000 capacity.
South Stand = c. 4000 capacity.

If the terracing is knocked down away teams will get about 500 tickets. Take another couple of hundred tickets away for segregation purposes, and you're left with nothing more than scaremongering by Hibs about how tickets will be really hard to get a hold off if the terracing is knocked down.

I think to maximise ticket sales we should be allowed to sit directly above the Jamtards and OF fans
