No longer running the business after taking Ford to the cleaners with Kwik Fit, but now as a sort of 'angel' fronting up a franchise business called "Farmers" which allows self motivated guys to stick in say £25k to his £75k and run their own Tyre business. I think that has been reasonably successful to date.
Funnily enough there is a Farmers out hereabouts run by a guy called Pat McGinlay!

Marston Securities................. Sam is quite right. They featured on the edges of stories about Hibs with loans in return for shares etc (Unless I missed the bigger stories - I didn't see much in the press). Marston are a big property company with millions of quids worth of property in the form of offices etc. Well over a hundred million of bricks and mortar.

I don't recall it being mentioned when Marston surfaces in Hibs deals that STF was tied in to them? But my memory is pretty shit and it could be that you are all aware of this and wonder whyI bothered posting at all.

brilliant post, you are a veritable fountain of knowledge

so that blows my reasoning out the water... STF would quit hibs in a second then cos, despite anything he might say, he is not a football fan and probably couldnt give a toss.

I would be very happy to see some money come in in the shape of an ambitious take over, but one always has to be aware of the consequences, al la tynecastle. Where are all the billionaires with a brain? surely there has to be a few kicking about somewhere that can take hibs to the next level?
