Re: yantorno

Difficult to say as he played a strikers role for Gretna but think he can definitely filla midfield position for Hibs. Although Morais improved towards the end of the season, (once he got his brain in gear) I think Yantorno would be an improvement.

Of course that's just my opinion.

2 goals in 24 starts for Gretna. One against us, and another against The Glaswegian Imposters.

Re: yantorno

I think hes different to Morais, seems like hes the type of player who would be most effective sitting behind the strikers, or even playing upfront as back-up maybe, whereas Morais is a winger!

Hes not better than Deano though, nowhere near it in my opinion.

Re: yantorno

Yantorno may be alright for us but it all depends if he proves his fitness levels first.

I have my doubts whether having seen him play for Gretna that he would supply us with the goals return that Shiels has over the past couple of seasons from midfield. IIRC he got 9 the season before last and 10 last season.

If Morais could screw the nut and not pick up silly bookings and work on his final ball into the box he could be a real good player for us. Yet again I have my doubts that Yantorno would be as useful stuck out wide for us.

I am sure that Fabian could have a role to play for us, it may be a wee supersub role to begin with and maybe filling in when someone is injured, but not sure he would displace Shiels or Morais initially.

Can string a good pass and has a cracking free kick. Uses his head unlike Morais.

Re: yantorno

decent little box of tricks, good enough for hibs ? i would doubt it, plus he is still on the mend after a really bad injury, never know though, it would be good to get a bit of latapy touch back in the midfield !

Re: yantorno

Mixu rates him highly, I think he will be a key player for us next season. Don't ask me where he will play him though, so much depends on who goes and who stays and more importantly what system of play Mixu decides to go with next season.

Hibs wouldn't be going to all the trouble and expense of his medical treatment and recuperation if they did not think he was going to be a major player for us in the next few seasons to come. Hopefully he will make a full recovery, but he has had a very serious injury so it's important that we ease him back gradually and get him used to playing with his new team-mates.
