can anyone remember a hibs west ham fixture from the past ?

have we ever played them ?

It was prior to the great adventure; there was an A4 programme with Tom O Malley on the front cover surrounded by the famous five as we had renamed the south stand the famous five stand.

So it would have been summer 98. I think we played Barnsley too. I think we drew one game 1-1, and lost the other 1-0. Ian Wright may have been at West Ham at the time.

Both games were draws, 1-1 vrs the Hammers and 0-0 against Barnsley.

As far as I can see it's the only time we have played against West Ham?

I can't find anything else from before that match, it looks like the Yams tended to play friendlies against the Hammers, where the Hibees played their pre-season friendlies against Spurs.

I was at the game if I remember correctly. Alex McLeish was in charge and we had a load of austrians in the side. It was the pre-season before our first division adventure (ahem). They had some good players..Carrick et al. Hearts had played Coventry the week before when Gordon Strachan was manager.

Bloody hell it was 10 years ago!Time flies...

It was a typical crap pre season game,i only went cos West Ham are my English team, we also played Barnsley 2 days later.
