Seems they brought in specialist help with the fixtures.....

There were many other considerations for OPS to take into account before the SPL could rubber-stamp their final draft for the season. Among some of the nightmare scenarios the SPL were desperate to avoid were:

* Having SPL champions Celtic and newly-promoted Hamilton Accies playing away from home on the opening day of the season.
* Any club being asked to play four out of five games either home or away.
* No long-haul journeys in midweek or over the festive period.
* Clubs having to play two successive home or away matches several times.
* A lop-sided home or away balance to midweek matches.
* The possibility of one member club having three home or away matches against another.

I predict we'll start the season against a team home or away with a vowel in their name

Kilmarnock away to start the season. Falkirk at hame next again. New Year derby at Tyncastle on the 3rd of Jan and 3 home games in December which includes Celtic but Rangers away in that month also.

As Hamilton won Div 1 they will be at home in Week 1.
Some Bouncers with "inside info" have been right in previous years. I wouldn't be surprised if TH above is correct.
