Hibs red cards

What red cards stick in your head?

Tom Smith v Clydebank in the cup, Rowbotham refereeing sticks out for me for being so unjust.

Davie Elliot I think got two straight reds - one v Motherwell in 1998 in a game we won as we fought relegation and one at Ibrox. Both totally unjust.

Re: Hibs red cards

When you think of the legbreakers and professional fouls that go unpunished, the red card given to Nish recently by McDumplin for a naughty verbal response is indicative of all that's wrong in Scottish football.

Brebner V the jumbos when Lou and Andy attacked Dougal.

John O'Neil v the huns at snake mountain when his boot got caught in Claudio Reyna's laces but the ref deemed it to be a lash out causing him to miss the new year's derby at swinie (although Lyndon Andrews replaced him and played his second and final good game for the cabbage).

Yogi at tynie in 96 for patting Stephane Paille(pie) on the head when heading back up the park after a corner.Pie went down clutching his head and of course Rowbotham sent him off.The game finished 0-0.Pie ya cheatin basta!

This was the game where Ally McMoist donned the hearty harry suit.Who would think Ally would end up the same shape as the mascot.

Gordon Rae v the scumbos inside 15 minutes. And we still went onto win.

I also seem to remember that Gordon was sent off v Celtc on the Saturday after the wednesday 4-4 Skol Cup tie that we won on penalties. He was about to get stretchered off anyway and we lost 5-0.

Happy days.

It was Hugh Dallas who I seem to remember sent Sauzee and Lovering off in the same game v Celtc a couple of years earlier. Sauzee for having the audacity to win the ball.

2nd - within 5 seconds of the game in Brussels against Anderlecht in '92 where straight from kick off he lauched himself wide and put the boy about 4 feet in the air. Although I was behind the goals, you could hear the crunch. (It was yellow but could/should have been red)

That's the one that I use as an example of the complete ineptitude/bias of refs in Scotchland. I couldn't fecking believe it at the time.

Also, the goalkeeper was right behind him, so they wouldn't have scored.
Also it didn't look like he was going to be sent off until the hun to the refs left started shouting and bawling and pointing, he then immediatley pulls out the red card. (think it was that nutcase rickson)
