What Hibs players have played in European finals?
For the first time in a few years we've three former players, Thomshun, Whittaker & Broadfoot playing in the UEFA Cup final.
This isn't as rare as you might think, anyone remember any others? I'll give you one to start with. Many people thought that Kirk Broadfoot was the worst player ever to make a European final this year. Not so. Dave Beaumont was an unused substitute in the 1987 final!

Alex Scott with rankers 1960-61
Jim Scott with Newcastle 1968-69 and I'm pretty sure they both scored in the finals

Bertie Auld made three finals, the 1961 Fairs Cup Final with Birmingham City and two European Cup Finals with Celtic in 1967 and 1970.
One missed so far is Jim Leighton in the 1983 Cup Winners' Cup Final. |

Bryan Gunn, Doug Bell & Andy Watson I think were unused subs in the 83 final. I haven't found the confirmation yet.

Gunn and Watson were subs - Bell didn't feature.
Only Hewitt came on. Stuart Kennedy and Ian Angus were the other subs. |
