Been told he's signed a 1 year deal with Coventry.

Re: Beuzelin

A one year deal! That's certainly not the three year deal that has been bummed about in the press.

I would like to assume Hibs have offered him 2years+, If so Guillame is taking a huge gamble here - Security versus opportunity.

Re: Beuzelin

Agreed. A big gamble. Coventry may have looked at his injuries recently and played it safe but at the same time wangled the pound signs in front of him. Beuzelin maybe looking to see if he can impress for the season and then get a better move.

Re: Beuzelin

No a bad move by Boozy tbh. Suspect he fancies himself to be a fair bit better than the vast majority of midfielders in the Championship (fairly reasonable assumption imo) and thinks he could shine there. So rather than signing for the security of 3 years, he wants to be able to be free to go somewhere next summer with a potential hike in wages and at a better level than Coventry. The wildcard of course is his fitness. If he stays fit there's every chance he succeeds in that, if he doesn't, well he's going to be a 30 year old midfielder with about 4 years of injuries behind him and not very attractive to anyone.

Best of luck to him. We've quite possibly had the best years of his career, and he should go and try to make as much money from the game as possible. Dude won't be a millionaire by any means, and no-one is going to become rich by staying at Hibs.

Hope he gets on the park for at least a wee farewell round of applause the morn.

Next for us is that he needs replaced.

That would be nice. He's given us some sweet moments. So long, Boozy, and cheers.

Agree with all of that. Not sure how he'll fare in the Championship though. It seems to be mostly about pace and power as far as I can see and I don't know if he'll get enough time on the ball to display his skills.

Think he'll cope alright tbh. It's not like the SPL is a league where you get lots of time on the ball in midfield and he has handled that well enough. He's got a great appreciation of space when he's receiving the ball and usually manages to find a yard of space when he does so. He's also reasonably strong in holding off challenges which again gives him a bit of time to play a pass. His main weakness imo is that he takes some chances with passes across back lines etc and tries too many world cup passes rather than always picking the right option.

You may be right but I get the impression there's a bit more pace about the Championship. I don't think the SPL is as fast as many people think. Although you don't get much time on the ball the SPL can be a wee bit more laboured. He is reasonably strong but powerful pacy forwards may well take more advantage if he is too casual.
