Thoughts on todays game....

1) Any opinion on whether we should have had someone on the post for the soapies first goal? I think we should have.

2) Morais was full of running today and I thought he played well.

3) Canning was unlucky with his red, the ref tried to jump over the ball and this must have fcucked his timing of the tackle. I look forward to seeing more of him.

4) Mixu can't change how a game is going with 25 minutes to go as the bench isn't good enough.

5) Murray should have put McGeady into row z instead of row A!!

Any other thoughts?

I didnt notice whether or not we had someone on the goal for the goal but every other corner, Rankin seemed to go on the post, so just a pity that he wasn't there for the goal.

Morais.....where has he been? He's been on fire the last 2 games, hopefully its a sign to come for next season.

Canning was unlucky, you seen a few unwashed players trying to talk to the ref, but no surprise that he was sent off, it is Celtic ofcourse, but what about Hartley??

Thought Donaldson done ok, but it was hard for him, as you said more strength in depth is needed, whether that comes we'll see..

That was a typical Ian Murray challenge. Whether it was a good thing or not im no to sure.

1/ Hibs were unlucky not to take anything from the game. We had some decent posession but as always against the OF we had to score first. Boruc had some excellent saves and was one of the main reasons Celtic won. Disappointed to see yet more goals conceded from set-pieces. I thought we had some good performances perticularly from Beuzelin and Dean Sheils who was excellent.

2/ Ian Murray and Martin Canning should not be played at full-back unless in an emergency situation during a game. Neither are comfortable playing in these positions. I would have had either Zarabi or Hanlon at left-back today and kept Murray in the middle. Having said that I thought both players played fairly well, but both IMO deserved to be sent off.

3/ Donaldson was unlucky not to score and I thought done OK when he came on. Nish has hardly played since the Dundee United game a few weeks ago when he had a nightmare. Then he was sent off stupidly against Aberdeen where again he didn't make the starting line-up. He is one booking away from a 3 match suspension at the start of next season which may explain his omission today.

4/ Dean Shiels and Zemmama should be our main attacking midfielders next season. Both are very creative and have goals in them.

Overall, we played quite well IMO, but we just didn't have the attacking quality in the team to really hurt Celtic today. Mixu has started to build the foundations for his team and next season will be another step in the rebuilding process. At least four new players arriving hopefully, but I think there will be more than that leaving. Hopefully we will secure fourth spot against Motherwell, which in itself is a remarkable achevement given the players we lost and the manager quitting.
