Yeah, but Hanlon is still only young, so to move a completely left sided player over to the right at parkhead in the biggest match of our season would be an unwise move IMO

you don't get many left sided players playing on the right its usually the other way about just don't think it would work

living down south and seeing few matches except those on satan/hibs int now and then, i often feel that on some level I probably understand the current hibs team a bit less than most fans - I don't see if it if AOB makes any smart runs, or if Rankin is an excellent man-marker and so on. But happily, there's this sort of guff to reassure me.

Gatheussi is too rash in his own penalty box, and he has a bad tendency to put his hands all over the opposition forwards in the box. Refs are just waiting for this too happen in order to give a penalty.

Apart from that I think he is a decent player, very strong, good tackler, and pacy going forward. Unfortunately his bad points to his game tend to cost us goals and points. For that reason I think he will be away in the summer.

Perhaps you should have read the post then.

I'm not trying to say it's his fault. It's a team game, and all that. I'm just saying that these things haven't exactly made it easy for the rest of the team.

I don't think he should be made a scapegoat, or that he should be emptied from the club in the summer. I think he's a decent enough attacking full back, who has made a couple of very important mistakes.

?? im confused... why have you made this thread? is it a 'lets all point and laugh' thing or a 'this is the guy who we should be blaming but lets not cos that would be bad' thread? cos to be honest, there are a lot more people in the team than one right back, and if your gonna make a thread about gatheussi, make another 20 odd threads to go with it for each and every player who has worn a hibs jersey this season and made a mistake, or two... i'll start you off...

fletcher had opportunities to win games for us if it werent for a useless right foot - at least 3 points

zooma forgets how to pass a ball - 3 points

boozy gave up caring - 3 points

morais had a couple of stupid sending offs - 3 points

makalambay... well... you know... - 3 points

jones cannae score a goal - 3 points

lets just chuck the whole squad, cos its obvious we would have won the title if it werent for each persons seperate mistakes/poor performances.

A bit harsh IMO. For starters he is a centre half. Granted he's taller than everyone else but at every set piece all we used to do was aim it for Jones, I'm sure even he got bored with it. There is always at least 1 guy manhandling him for most set pieces anaw.

The fact that it was coming down to the last 4 or 5 games and we had a little chance of getting into Europe ,and his actions spoiled our chances , pissed me off somewhat but its a team game hopefully hes learned from his stupidity if not Mixu will empty him .
I think he could be a good squad player, but thats just my opinion .

the point i was making was the futility in blaming our final position on one player, and how you could easily turn around and make anybody the scapegoat. I dont want to put any blame on jones, or any individual. we are where we are because of games won and lost by every player on the field.

What impact do you think John Collins has had on this season? Becasue to be perfectly honest with you the shambles that he left behind should have consigned us to the bottom 6, lucky for us Mixu sorted it.Gatheussi has made individual errors that have cost us points...he's not the only one.Get off his back and get behind him and the rest of the team.The next two games are crucial and what we dinny need right now are threads like this with negativity.

What impact do you think the whole team had on our current league position? Collins led us to top spot before the players began to get a bit precious about they're work ethic, or lack of it. I agree with you individuals do not determine how well a team does over the course of a season. It's all involved from the Chairman to the subs, all should take responsibility for the critisism or the praise
