Mac

Thanks for the memories...

"DUNDEE RECEIVED a massive pick-me-up yesterday following the disappointment of their failed promotion bid and the subsequent departure of several key players when Mickael Antoine-Curier signed a three- year deal with them.

The 25-year-old Frenchman, who scored nine times during the closing months of last season while on loan to the Dark Blues from Hibs, revealed he’d signed because he reckons, that at Dens Park, he has finally found a home."

Hibs legend. And I was gearing up for his testimonial in 2015.

Good for Mac, well done son you've found a home at last - hopefully.

In my opinion he was better than Nish. Going to watch his progress at Dundee with Interest.

Hibs do have a lot of strikers at the moment, only one of them has quality though, maybe trim one/two more and bring a gem in.

Re: Mac

Mac has done well for Dundee IIRC.

He scored in a lot of games before getting a red card and was banned for most of the run in of their season.

I reckon he has found his level and good luck to him

Nope, its been well documented what I feel Curier brings to the team compared to Nish and vice versa. Nish is a Hibs fan so he'll be alright for a good while yet though.

think you might be right. would certainly have liked to see him play for us a few more times. still not sure what he did wrong to deserve to be loaned out to a division 1 team in the first place

to people who don't think he was good enough, if he'd been given the same amount of minutes on the pitch as Nish has, are you confident he wouldn't have at least equaled Nish's scoring record? I'm not

Re: Mac

Shame that hes gone, felt he had so much potential, hes goal scoring record for Dundee is excellent (people say that may be his level but a few of the top teams in the first division could manage in the SPL), if he hadnt got a red card might have scored more and you never know, Dundee might have been up!

Think he needed to work on his first touch, but other than that I think he could have been a good player for hibs. Will be good to see how he gets on at Dundee, hope he does well!

Didnt really do much wrong in his time at ER but for a striker he couldnt shoot!Good luck to him anyway.

"that at Dens Park, he has finally found a home."

What value does this really hold when spoken by a footballer.Especially when the home in question is Dens Park.

Think 9 goals in 11 games for Dundee suggests that he can shoot (supposedly scored quite a few great goals). Think one of the main reasons he didnt get back was for slagging off Mixu in the paper (Dundee paper anyway)!

Re: Mac

Well I have to say I am not overly disappointed to see him go.

His first touch was poor, he was slow to react, I recall the 1-1 match with Hearts where he could have put us well in front and it was like slow motion watching him swing his leg before he got tackled. His passing was poor also.

Sadly my lasting impression of MAC was that open goal he missed against Inverness with a header that was easier to score than miss, but he contrived to let the ball bounce off his napper into the stand instead.

However I wish him luck at Dundee as he may have found the level for him.

9 goals in 11 games suggests he has found his level. Not too sad he's not coming back. didnt seem sharp enough.

Re: Mac

Not bothered that he's not coming back. He burst a gut for the jersey but IMO he just wasn't good enough. Again IMO I think Nish is a better player and will score the more goals for us. I wouldn't start him before Benji, Nish or Fletch and after that we have Campbell, Gray, Donaldson and even Shiels so we are well covered in that department.

Exactly, I couldnt believe I was reading that TBH. It was seen that Courier couldnt put the ball in the back of the net in the SPL, Nish knows where the goals are and Ive been impressed with his link up play.
