I've always been a fan of Hogg but was very impressed with Jones and Canning yesterday so at the moment I'd stick with them

i said a couple of months ago that we should put canning and jones together and got slated for it. Hogg has been brilliant this season but i think jones and canning look like a stronger pair, which is what counts in the end.

i wonder if cannings 3 inches on hogg mean that some of the pressure is taken off jones for marking the taller players, meaning he has more freedom to pick up other players? they seemed to spread themselves more evenly against rangers, whereas i get the feeling hogg and jones get on top of each other...

Canning and Jones' performance killed Chris Hogg's claim for player of the year stone dead yeasterday. The centre backs looked very comfy yeasterday without him. A forward line without Steven Fletcher, on the otherhand, is bringing me out in a rash just thinking about it.

I've been Hogg's biggest supporter the past couple of seasons. He's come on really well and this season (bar one or two mistakes) has been as solid as a rock. Unfortunately for him, but good in terms of Hibs' squad, Canning has proved to be an excellent signing. He's good in the air and has proved to be good on the ground so far. I've been really impressed with him so far. Jones has come onto some really good form as well after a shaky patch so can't see a change in centre-back pairing before the end of the season, even if Hogg is fit and ready.

Who knows what will happen next season, but just now I think we've got three decent CHs all capable of playing in the first team.

I would play Hogg and Jones with Murray sitting infront of them to guve them a but support. Play Canning at Right Back.
