We now have the pleasure of playing M'Well on Thursday 22nd May as our last game of the season due to Rongers getting to the UEFA Cup Final.

Thoughts on Thursday night football as an end of season game?

Personally, it's pretty pish IMO.

From a really selfish point of view i like it because i work sundays so couldnt have went originally but can now. also have an exam earlier that day so be good to help me forget about it.

Bad for everyone who has to work midweek or has family commitments. I have an exam on the 20th so it saves me having to come home that weekend.

I can see why the SPL want all the games to finish at the same time but its a bit screwed up how a game between Hibernian and Motherwell is moved back to a thursday night due to Rangers getting to a cup final - the only reason i can see is the "all games finishing at the same time" reason - therefor not having 1 team going into a game knowing that a draw or even defeat is good enough for something - just imagine the crowd size if say dundee utd have finished 3rd and its Hibs v Well on a thursday night last game of the season i dont think the sold out signs will be up above the turnstiles

I agree - it's pish. If I do get to the game, it means not getting home until 1 am.

Seriously, what's the big deal about it being the last game of the season?? It's not as if we've any legends playing their last game for the club. Anyone who's saying their goodbyes will be deservedly so (possibly Fletcher apart). And our first intertoto game kicks off about half an hour after the league finishes...

For me every cloud has a silver lining. As a season ticket holder in Skye I can't get down to all the games. I have a meeting in Edinburgh on the Friday 22nd so for me it has worked out fine and dandy.

Because it's our last Hibs 'fix' for the season. I realise that due to your location you don't make many, if any, games but for us who go week in week out it's a big part of our lives taken away for a couple of months. Always have an end of season piss-up and this year it's taken away from us due only to the fact that the huns have made a cup final. It's total pish, IMO.
