Similarly, Paatelainen claimed to be in the dark over reports Crewe Alexandra are chasing the signature of striker Clayton Donaldson who has found appearances in a green-and-white shirt hard to come by since the big Finn took the reins at Easter Road. He said: "Crewe haven't phoned me. If they are interested in him I'm surprised they haven't done that. They have my number." A move for Donaldson would, according to one report, prompt Paatelainen to seek the return of Derek Riordan on a season-long loan from Celtic but, again, the Hibs manager laughed off the claims, asking: "Where do you get these stories?"

Mixu is just a yes man.....There's no way Petrie and Co would consult him about the Fletcher situation. He will be told that the player is signed and sealed when and if, and it's a big if, that time comes.... This has happened with all recent managers...that's why TM sought another club and wht JC was utterly sick of the situation. As Hibs manager you get very little say in transfer....but probably a bit more than over swynecastle way!

Anyway, talking of transfers, I have another mate (I'm a popular guy!) that works in Helsinki, and the Finnish press have been saying that a guy called Hermanni Vuorinen is heading to ER. When I asked what he was like the reply only said "Mikael Antoine Courier". Hmmmm...
