where to auction signed Hibs top for charity?

I work for Myeloma UK, a cancer organisation which amongst other things, fundraises. We're getting a signed Hibs top and was wondering whether it would be worth auctioning it here as opposesd to e-bay as suggested by my co-worker. Any opinions on how we'd get the best price?

Why not cover all your bases...

Stick it on Ebay -- with links to the Bounce and .Net

that way you'll have blanket coverage and should be sure to get a good price for it.

Or, you could raffle it off. Sell raffle tickets at say £5.00-£10.00 per ticket, with the winning ticket being given the strip. I would have a shot for a tenner, but i wouldn't be able to afford the price of it, were it to be auctioned.

That way, you can sell "x" amount of tickets and you'll get more people entering the draw as more people will be able to afford the entry fee.

Lets say you sell 100 raffle tickets at £10.00 per ticket, you'd get £1,000.00. Would you get as much as that if you were to auction it?

Just a thought

Thanks for the positive replies ...we're thinking a raffle is may be the way forward and hopefully will be able to use the Bounce for selling them.

I'll probably try punting a few in Robbies, 4 in hand etc when we receive the top.

Cheers
