Poor show, we are getting as bad as the red-tops with the poorly researched reports. uts me off reading any further when the basics are wrong.

Hibernian manager Mixu Paatelainen rang the changes again following last weeks defeat at Motherwell. Dropping out were Hanlon, Morais and the suspended Jones, into the side were Gatheussi, Zarabi and Nish. Goalkeeper Ma-Kalambay returned but the form of Andrew McNeil meant he had to be content with a place amongst the substitutes, a decision that was to provide a rich reward for the Hibernian manager by the time the 90 minutes were up.

No matter how crap Hibs have played the official site always tries to put a positive spin on it.

Their headline of Andy McNeil saves the day says it all for me. He was our best player yesterday. At home to St Mirren FFS

Can you remind me of our previous excellent results against St Mirren this season or indeed when we last beat them?

Our keeper shouldn't be "saving the day" at home to St Mirren.

The keeper did indeed save the day. In an ideal world this shouldn't happen but our recent record against St Mirren has been dire so it's not exactly a new situation for us. The difference yesterday was we won the game. I'm not making excuses for the overall performance level but who's to say that a St Mirren goal wouldn't have given our team the kick up the jacksy they probably needed?

To be totally honest with you if St Mirren pulled one back yesterday I reckon they would have scored again.

McNeil had some cracking saves but after going 2 up in the first 5 minutes the win should have been a lot more comfortable. It was the Inverness game all over again.

That's the question I've been asking myself when reading a lot of the negativity on this site of late. Some people must have long memories if they can recall Hibs playing with style, while achieving good results and brushing inferior opposition aside with aplomb on a regular basis.

The only excitement I remember was when Bertie used to chuck a cigar down to the masses from his seat in the stand.

For the avoidance of doubt, anything stated in the above post is written without prejudice; is probably completely uninformed opinion, and possibly just a figment of my imagination. Readers should either ignore, treat with contempt, or simply accept the spirit it is written in, without recourse to huffy replies, legal action or threats of violence.
That includes YOU.

Good to see some positivity about the game.

Playing badly but winning with 2 good goals, seeing as it was a must win game, the result was all that mattered, we got what we wanted.

I know we've not bein playing that great of late, but it's Hibs we're talking about here, when do we ever at this stage of season?

That performance was dire yesterday, to the 2nd worst team in the SPL, behind GRETNA. For you people that adopt the "we got what we wanted" motto... well if your happy paying your money and watching that shite everyweek but "picking up results" then good for you, but im certainly not and I reckon that the majority of fans will not be happy with that either.

If we had played the way we did and lost, there would be uproar, we played how we did AND WON and the is uproar,

FFS get a grip

Some off you don't seem to want to understand that a win is a win, scrappy or not, we would alll love to watch sexy winning football but i think that is not going to be the case,

Mixu has (like any manager) come into a team he had very llimited knowledge off the current playing squad, he will constantly be assesing the situation,
If we go into next season and we play scrappy football but we are winning, GOOD more chance off silverware,

If you want entertainment go to the cinema, you wanna watch your team win and you wanna hold the hope off winning the league/cups/playing in europe for the whole season, then let them play scrappy football, Sexy football is great to watch, is exciting, has passion, but that does not always win you games,

There has been changes to the team, and possibly find that the flair players that worked well, don't work well with there new team mates, or the new systems Mixu has brought in

We are football fans, We are Hibs fans, We will follow our team forever,

AND WE SHOULD BE BEHIND THEM NO MATTER WHAT

What do you mean get a grip? A famous qoute on here get a grip FFS, you have short memories etc etc.....

All im asking is to play some good football, with a bit of passion and pride, make simple passes against St Mirren FFS. AS for the cinema, you having a farking laugh? And im am and im sure everyone else behind the team, and always will be, but surely its not too much to ask, for a bit of football along the way. Just a bit..

OK so you want to watch some flair football? everyteam we played against started to realise that was how we played, we played on the ground and passed alot, and they started to adapt to us, because very little changed, Now we play a different style off football, and it seems to be working well, so i am happy with that,

If we played and lost then yes something needs to change, but we won so it ain't broken don't fix it, IMO
