And up till that point I wasn't making my opinion that every single thing they were saying was utter shite known. But I did afterwards when I started contradicting pretty much every single time they said anything. As did every person round about me. Weirdly they shut the fuck up after that and seemed a bit less keen on hearing everyone elses opinion...

Those 3 must have had pretty close to 100odd years of life behind them. How much of that they'd spent watching football and trying to work out what was happening on the park rather than just pretending that shouting "play it early" or "beat him first" depending on what happened gave them a veneer of knowledge was something that annoyed the tits off me tbh.

Not just Hibs fans if that's any consolation. A few weeks ago, I went to watch Deportivo La Coruña v Sevilla. I had this muppet (with at least 50 summer's behind him) beside me and he was yelling "run, run" (in Spanish of course) at every opportunity. That was about the sum of his wisdom so even though it wasn't abusive I'd have preferred if he'd kept it to himself. Then late in the game, Depor were winning 2-1 and they made a substitution, mainly to waste time I suppose. The player jogged off slowly. The muppet's response? "Don't run!".

Generally I don't like the moaning, booing and loud mouthed negative football experts, but if ever there was a day when moaning was the order of the day then today was it. We were rank rotten and the players need to know that it isn't good enough.

THANK YOU THANK YOU finally sum1 who notices it i started the thread of easter road atmosphere saying too many of our fans are critics and waste their voices shouting at abuse rather than encouraging the team and all i got was abuse frm hibs fans saying its not but clearly it is.

I have to agree that alot of ''fans'' dont seem to have a clue and talk utter p*sh. I had one guy along from me coming out with things like Hogg is the worst defender in the league and sheils will never make it cos hes only got one eye. This from a supposed ''fan''. I know we were poor 2day but if so called fans are going to come out with sh*te like they would be better just sitting in the house on saturday afternoons instead of boring real fans with their pish and lack of support

I agree with you kinda here FM, but I do think in general that our support this season has become a lot less patient with the players. It is almost like some fan's are just sitting back waiting to be entertained, and when it doesn't happen they get on the players backs. This is something I have never really noticed until this season, and I think because of the way we have played football in the last few season's, fan's expect that level of performance every game, and this is unrealistic, especially given the quality and amount of player's we have lost recently. I hope in our next game, against St.Midden at home, we guy's, the fan's, can really lift the players with a rousing atmosphere and help Hibernian F.C enter the split in 3rd place. Utd and Well play the old firm next week, a win for us should move us into that coveted European place, what a boost that would be for the whole club going into the last 5 game's!

That's the thing though, regardless of how poor they play, a couple of our players seem immune from critism(sp?), much easier to have a dig at a new arrival or a youth player making the step up!

Definitely , some people seemed content to slag Rankin to extreme levels, and personally offensive levels as well.

Whereas Deano only got, try better mate, and unluckies all game.

I think the pitch was to blame for a football today but I guess it doesn't matter now, just got to look onwards and upwards.

I heard more abuse towards our own players today than at that wanker Malcom and that just isn't good enough. How could Rankin deserve more abuse than that fat bigoted hun bastard. Not good enough.

As far as i'm concerned the players deserved the boos they got today. Not one of them looked interested on that shite park. As a hibee i cant accept that lack of effort. We pay £20 to get in plus taxi/buses/petrol to watch hibs and we deserve more. the defending for the goal was a fucking shambles! we need to pick it up if we want europe. I quite fancy spain myself! I do see the point. I try to get behind the team every game but for a game as big as yesterday was nobody looked interested and that fucks me off majorly. If we won yesterday we would have been in the pole position for europe. I just hope that mixu gives them the kick up the arse they need to go out and clinch it.
