I agree he got it wrong today, but i think mixu is the kinda guy who knows when he has made a mistake, and will learn from it

This is what i have said in my original post. I wasn't at the game today, but i have heard the similarities between today and the cup game were uncanny. I just feel if we have a go at them, we could get something. When he decided to have a go today, it was too late. We did get a goal in that spell though and as you say, hopefully Mixu has a look and realises we can attack them and beat them.

It's a bit early to pass judgement on Mixu's abilties but I'd agree that his team selections should definetly be the subject of critical comment and today of the four most creative players Hibs have none of them were picked.

then you should really start with either Zemmamma or Shiels though probably not both given there similar charactaristics.

Again though Mixu went to Ibrox scared

with damage limitation written across his forehead.

It was a negative attitude in team selection and a personel mostly made up of big strong physical players with a midfield designed to run, harry, annoy and tackle hard but not with a team designed to win the game or even pass the ball.

Mixu might tick all the boxes for some but he doesn't yet tick the most important box of all.

I'm a tad pissed, but your quote RE: Mixu going with the damage limitation is spot on. BTW I'm a big fan of mixu, I can't understand though why he didn't bring Zemmama on before he did the game was screaming out for him.

As said, pissed - no complaints we deserved what we got.

Wasn't there today so I can't comment but

Mixu v Old Firm P4 W0 D1 L3

JC this season P2 W2 D0 L0

Even TC P2 W0 D1 L1

Mixu has sorted out a lot against the dross. He's clearly not got what JC had on the old firm. More is the pity.

Agreed, but it's early days..

Let's give the man time to build a squad, i'm confident he he can create a squad of players who can not only regulary beat the non OF teams, but occasionaly defeat the gruesome twosome as well. Rome wasn't built in a day, and Mixu's team will take some time to come together. Europe would be a massive bonus this season.

Re: Mixu Not A Happy Chappy..

I reckon he doesn;t think we have what it takes in midfield to play a player like Zemmama against big physical teams like Rangers.
If we have to play Hearts this season again, which is looking less and less likely, then I think you will find Zemmama may be likely to find himself on the bench in such a game.

I also think that he is right. Furthermore, I expect us to buy a big battling central midfielder in the summer which will allow us to play with Murray and another midfielder who will sit and destroy opposition moves as well as protecting our flair players.

no. apart from the togging with them scoring 7,the last two visits to ibrox have been totally fuckin shit,i dont give a fuck about JC now but we played 3 up front and took the pisss at the end of his last game there.

Quote:
FFS will some off you read what you are typing,

This season as far as i am concerened is about mixu getting a grounding, how can he asses what works best unless he tries it in a game that means something, IF he continues this way after the start off next season then i will 'jump on the band wagon' but until then, and alot off peeps agreed, we are in a state off damage limitation,

Mixu will need to see what combos work best, try new combos and see what 'back up' options he has, OK i like everyone is dissappointed with the scorline today and from what i heard, we were scrappy, I would rather we played scrappy and mixu made an 'informed' decision on players rather than just playing the fans favourates all the time, for all we know mixu saw something good in training and thought about giving it a try on the field

Give the guy a break and most off all GIVE HIM A CHANCE
Why,go to the fucking games and you might see why people get pissed off.

Id not be happy but i would rather we got beat 4-0 trying than watch that pish, one thing on mixu.s side we seem able to beat the other sides now but go for the soft option v the old firm.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, I have 20-20 hindsight. Mixu clearly doesnt though. Madkink, if Mixu were the kind of man to learn from his mistakes how come he didnt - learn that is - we played against them 2 weeks ago and tried and failed with the tactics seemingly employed yesterday so please point out to me where Mixu learned from that. Honestly I would love to know.

Now before anyone jumps down my throat I am backing Mixu all the way but as someone else pointed out this is a forum where opinions and thoughts can be aired and in my opinion Mixu didnt learn so I hope he starts to and plays his strongest team.

Forza, you highlighted Killie in one post to emphasise no doubt that there is a difference between who we played last week and who we played yesterday and I accept that its horses for courses and a squad game but Zoomer is capable of taking the p1ss out of the defenders for any team in Scotland including these old has beens that play for the huns. In fact taking these ****s apart would be right up his Strasse, we in fact only appear to have started to play when he and Deano came on the park so it seems fairly obvious that they made a difference and therefore similarly obvious [to me anyway] that they should have been either starting or at least on a lot earlier than they were.

Still, go Mixu

Why should nationality matter? If Arsene Wenger or Jose Mourinho or Rafa Benitez or Sven Goran Ericksson are good enough for the biggest English clubs then what does race have to do with anything?

Re: Mixu Not A Happy Chappy..

I know Mixu wasn't happy with the performances, he picked a team that wasn't the strongest. Zarabi is a constant worry. Mixu had the bottle to drop Kerr and o'brien eventually after dismal performances. Hope he does'nt give Zarabi too many chances, The kid Hanlon is a good left back and from what I have seen of his performances this season he should be in the team as of right. But maybe Mixu has got a longer term plan. if we finish top 3 it would be justified, but on yesterdays team pick I can't see it. Just hope I am wrong
