Re: Ian Murray's off

Wasn't sure about the first challenge of Murrays as i ws on the wrong side but didn't remember him having a bad tackle in the game previously and thought a warning may have been enough.

Second booking I didn't see at all, I presume it was late but would need to hear from someone over the West side to confirm if it was a bookable offence.

What games will he miss (if any?) between now and the end of the season?

No, it was two yellows. ref produced a yellow, before the red, no real complaints in the terms of Murray, but M'well only got one card all game, would love to know their foul count.

However it was like the one made on jones when the ref didn't produce any cards
thought the first one was harsh as it was his first foul all game

With the exception of Murrays late challenge, same level of fouls, same kinds of fouls (not professional, dodgy positions etc) and we get more cards, player sent of and they only get one yellow. The foul on Jones when the ref did not allow advantage should have been carded. Hardly consistant.

To be honest referee was probaly right to send him off but was it just me or did he miss some of the Motherwell players tackles on our players where they didn't even recieve bookings

You're spot on. The two tackles that Murray got booked for were almost identical to ones that Motherwell were making all night. Not only weren't they getting booked for them, they were barely being spoken to.

The refs approach to stealing yards, and his understanding of what advantage is was fucking pish as well.

That was doing my nut in last night. Fletch was clean away to make it 2-0.

Also, contant man-handling, climbing up on players, late challenges. It took 'til about 83 mins before the feckin' West Stand linesman joined in on the games.

Re: Ian Murray's off

I thought the Willie Collum had a poor game and Motherwell got away with a lot of annoying fouls and cheating. The one where he didn't allow advantage to Hibs was ridiculous especially when you look at the piece of skill from Fletcher to get away from his marker and he was right through on goal. Collum appeared to lose control of the game in the second half when it was threatening to turn quite nasty.

He also should have given Motherwell a penalty in the first minute of the second half. A stonewaller from where i was sitting.
