Maybe thats his level??

Dont want to bring him back too early, because he'll be shot down by our support just as fast as hes established himself at Dundee.

It wasn't as though he came in to play while we were creating a lot of chances.

Think he might feel a bit bitter towards us due to the way he was treated. More unfortunate due to circumstances as oposed to any malice on Hibs part.

if he had found his level he would be on about 3 goals in 6 games or less
i think thats him on like 7 in 5

he also appears to have been sent off

actually i think the player who replaced him is off, hard to tell with score centre

Re: Mikael Antoine-Curier!

Definately, he would be a welcome return. There was never a question over his work rate and he seemed committed.

I also feel that given his career history he would jump at the chance if we extended his deal, as he is definately looking for some stability .

Re: Mikael Antoine-Curier!

I thought he was a decent striker, dont understand why he got loaned out to dundee in the first place (especially over likes of donaldson, who i feel hes better than), he scored 4 goals in 8 games for us, thats not bad! Decent back up, cant imagine him coming back to us anyway, according to a dundee paper Mixu promised him games which never came, and was him who requested the loan to dundee!

I've certainly seen a lot worse , a goalscorer is a goalscorer

Curier another two goals tonight.

Curier has scored another two against St Johnstone,

Dobbie scored for QoS.

I'm sure there was an article in the Scotsman or somthing last week saying his main aim was to impress Mixu... I'll try find it.

Re: Mikael Antoine-Curier!

MAC was never given a proper chance with us and i think he should definately be given another year here at least.

He was thrown in at the deep end, playing lone striker a lot of the time while he was still getting up to speed with scottish football and he was playing at a time when our midfield were simply dreadful and may as well have not been there during most matches.

Now that Mixu has shored up the midfield and got us creating chances again i reckon MAC would get himself in amongst the goals more often, playing with a partner up front and a midfield that can actually pass a ball will also help him no end.

A good striker playing at "his level" would be expected to average a goal every two or three games.........having more goals to your name than appearances for a team outside of under-12 football means that a player is playing well below thier level.

Bring him back i say, would much rather have him than Donaldson and the confidence boost of a successful loan spell and new contract along with a better understanding of the scottish game could see him being a good player for us

SlovSam has a spectacular aura about
Re: Mikael Antoine-Curier!

That 's great news for MAC as he is well on the way to getting a contract from Dundee or one or the other 1st Division clubs though the Scottish 1st Divison obviously still remains one of the worst leagues in western Europe so I really don't think Mixu will feel any need to recall or resign MAC.

MAC though well deserves a reasonable career as his commitment and workrate was second to none unlike a certain other Hibs reserve striker who will just vegetate in the reserves picking up his £2,000 - £3,000 each week until Saint Rodney pays out his contract with another fat cheque for £50,000 to go with the even fatter £75,000 he got for signing on.

Oops I promised to lay off 'Flash Harry'. but the comparison between a decent hard working pro trying his very best to get himself a career and a poseur who wears shiny coloured boots when he isn't oot on the town with some dumb arm candy called 'Pippa' gies me the dry boak

I think I'm right in saying he's scored more at that level tahn Damon Gray does that mean Gray's not good enough?

I think Fletcher will be away in the summer, Benji's scored less than than Curier this season, Campbell has little experience and see above post re: Gray.

Re: Mikael Antoine-Curier(merged threads - pls dont start any more new ones!)

Incidentally I think there's no chance of MAC coming back - my brother-in-law told me on Sunday that he'd read an article in the Sun and MAC was slating Mixu for not giving him a chance. I think that would blow any chance he had of coming back.
